LapBand BUDDY!!

Hey everyone, I am looking for a buddy to go through this adventure with. I am 26 years old and my surgery is scheduled for February 13th!!! I was worried and had some doubts when I first got my date but now I AM READY!!! Let me know if you are interested in being my buddy! The more the merrier! Meghan

I know I freaked after getting mine for a few days and still deal with being scared every now and then - but overall - I'm ready. Good luck to you and I know I've seen some fellow lapbanders on here. Thanks for the reply Shelley! Way to go on getting your date as well. It is exciting isn't it? I took a look at your profile and felt connected when I read your picture comment. It took me a long time to put a photo on my profile. I wasn't wanting to share my face with the world but with my surgery scheduled I already seem to have a little more confidence because I know this too shall pass!

I have a date also 2-26-07 in mexico for lapband. I will be your lapband buddy if you would like. I am scared, nervous and excited all at once. LOL I went ahead and made my deposit and set my date so i can't chicken out now. I am 29 years old and i have a 21 month old son and husband of 5yrs.

Hey Meghan and Misty! I'm going for lap band too on February 19th. I'd like some buddies too I'm 26 years old too, I'm in wisconsin. I'm getting more nervous, only 5 weeks away, start my pre-op diet tomorrow and in the next few weeks go for labs and meet with my surgeon. How many people did you guys tell about surgery? I've kept it quiet except my parents know

I could use a buddy too. My lapband surgery is scheduled on 2-16 and I am keeping it together so far. How about you? I am selfpay which seems so selfish but I really think this is one of the best things I could do for myself and my family. -Rachael

Hey rachel, good luck on your lapband. I'm a selfish selfpay too! I couldn't handle trying jumping through any more hoops for more than 6 months...i've been trying to lose this fat for years....so we can be selfish together! I really think that this is the best I can do for myself too. I can't wait to be on the way to actually having a body back...and not be waiting a few more months for insurance to deny me. Not saying that insurance is bad. I'm sure there'll be people *****ad this that say it is selfish and at least we can afford to pay..hey I'm taking out a loan for this...but some people buy themselves big houses and cars and cavier (sp?) As long as we're happy.

I am here for anyone that needs me. I had my lap band on Oct. 23 and so I am still new tho the process but know enough to know what you will be going through. Just stop by and request me as your friend and drop me a line. I will be going through this with you only a little ahead, trust me it doesn't matter if you do not have the support you need.
