Topic: RE: Troubled about FOOD
I think this is a good questions, as I am still having trouble deciding if I eat too much or not enough. My weight loss has slowed to about five pds a month and I am really working hard for that. Walking and /or bicycleing everyday. And I seem so busy all the time. I have also noticed I seem to keep so busy that i can go for days untill I am completely wore out and then have to take something to help me relax or my muscles get so tense they go into spasms. Here goes for food... 1 boiled egg one cup salad with one oz grilled chicken with one tablespoon ranch dressing 1/2 salisbury steak 1.2 cup green beans And I will probable eat a fruit w some yogurt before I got to bed from some dairy and fruit. As soon as I go to the store this week I am going to start adding a carnation instant breakfast in the mornings again.

Hi all, been having trouble eating right lately. Can you guys please share with me what you eat in a day? Just to get an idea what I'm doing wrong here. I know it varies depending if exercise is involved or not but regardless I just want to know what you guys are doing. Also at what time do you eat breakfast and the time of your last meal or snack. Thanks! This is mine for today....don't doubt I'll have something else later, later tonight. Geez, I need @ 9:45am Ate half a sausage biscuit and hash brown @2:00pm Ate 3 inch ham & turkey sub sandwich on wheat I'll probably eat the other half for dinner...dunno. Thanks! Elisa

So glad that all went well for you. I will be making an appointment for a PS consult in the next few months. I am both excited and nervous about it. I would like to lose about 20 more pounds, if possible before I have plastics. Again, so glad you are doing well and surviving the pain.

The world's shortest fairytale Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl, "Will you marry me?" The girl said "No" and she lived happily ever after, and went shopping, drank martini's with friends, always had a clean house, Never had to cook, had a closed full of shoes and handbags, stayed skinny, and was never farted on. The End

I am SOOOOOO glad everything went well for you! You rock! My weight is up, boo sniffle, oh well. I've been letting life trample upon my nural highways, but I'll get over it. Good news from doc..... my cholesterol went from bout 300 before surgery to 115, woot! Bad news from doc, i'm anemic. I take so many supplement pills, grrr, now i'm on prescription iron, who'd a thought iron was a controled substance? LOL I got your email the other day and have just been too caught up in real life to have sent a response. I appologize. In my family, if at least 3 bad things happen to you, really bad things, then you get something realllly good. I'm due for something good, right about now. Stay safe, and no more drain wars, this time around! Love & kisses, Gosh PS 192lbs,

If I get your weight by the end of the week, I will have it posted. Thanks for all the good wishes, I survived. The hernia repair was THE WORST PAIN of my ENTIRE LIFE. Morphine didn't touch it, 2 Percocet didn't touch it - piggy-backed with Vicodin I could lie there without wanting to scream, it was brutal. But I'm getting over it. The plastics pain is NOTHING, I don't even feel my 2 drains. I will get the stitches out and probably the drains out tomorrow. I am trying to wean off the pain killers so I can drive again soon. I'm bored, but I'm also easily tired and washed out, so I doubt I'm really going far. Doc says my stomach and lower area went perfectly. He thinks he took off at least 10 pounds of skin. I can see my thighs [ick, they look like thunder thighs, who knew?] and groin [my mons got lifted, so it's cute again] but it's really not translating in my head yet. I still 'feel' like I have the panni [it probably doesn't help that the drains are in the front]. Luckily I took my weight on the 1st, because I am up 12 pounds, jeesh, that's like 22 pounds considering the extra skin removal, phooey on the scale. My boobs are a little on the small side, apparently they were all skin. I don't think my IQ is high enough to have small boobs [doc thinks they will end up around a C after the swelling goes down in 4-6 months], but we shall see, maybe I will like them? Any other specific questions, I'd be happy to answer. Thanks again for all the good thoughts and wishes. xosm

Hi Jean, of course I want you on the chart. I don't think you participated last time [maybe because I had the wrong email?] so I don't have your info. Can you resend me your start weight and goal and new email addy and I will add you. xosm

Thanks that is a neat article. I get the sparks newsletters too, but there are so many that I usually skip them too. I read a book called Eat to Live last week that pretty much said the same thing. I dont remember who wrote it though. It was a kinda interesting if you could get through the stuff on why other diets dont work. Thanks,

Topic: RE: Question for the week...
I guess I wish that I HAD pushed harder for gallbladder removal at the time of GBS. My nephew who is an RN in the OR told me to and I didn't listen. So, in Feb 07, I spent 8 days in the hospital with a gangrenous gallbladder and was so close to death, my Dr stayed at the hospital at night. Other than that, no regrets! Maybe wouldn't have kept trying to see if I could eat pork and beef. I just wouldn't believe it when it kept hurting! Oh welllllllll......fish and chicken are my friends.
