Hey Good to hear from you! Hope you had a great birthday.
I also emailed my stats. Do you think I could get away with today's weight? I'm 215!! Officially 100s gone!

I thought this day was never going to come but it has and I feel so great!
Today has been a pretty good day. I even told 2 other co-workers that I had the surgery. They were surprised and thought it was great. Even one said she'd thought about it but seemed a little scary. It felt like such a relief to tell because now I don't have people wonder why I eat so little.
I'm so happy! Just wanted to share with all my February sisters & brothers (those few out there). Thanks for reading!

HEY GROUCHETTA,
I HIT 212! ONLY 13 UNTIL WONDERLAND. I HAVE LOST 112 SINCE FEB. 27TH. I AM ONLY 8 LBS AWAY FROM WHAT THE DIET TRACKER DEEMS THE HIGH LOSS EXPECTATION--WOO HOO. GOAL IS 150 BY CHRISTMAS. STILL HAVEN'T WORKED OUT. THIGHS ARE GETTING SAGGY SO I NEED TO START WORKING THEM OUT. I LOST MY ENTIRE BUTT AND I USED TO HAVE A CUTE BUBBLE BUTT WHEN I WAS THIN BEFORE. LOWER STOMACH IS MY BIGGEST AREA THAT NEEDS HELP. FRIENDS HAD TOLD ME TO KEEP BUSY AND NOT TO WORK OUT UNTIL ABOUT THE 6TH MONTH SO THAT i CAN SHOCK MY SYSTEM AND START LOSING AGAIN WHEN THE LOSING SLOWS DOWN SO THAT WAS THE PLAN!!! I HOPE I CAN KEEP THIS GOOD PACE GOING. HOPE YOU AND EVERYONE ELSE IS DOING WELL. I AM STILL NOT WORKING (REMEMBER MY JOB GOT RID OF ME BECAUSE THEY DEEMED THIS SURGERY AS ELECTIVE EVEN THOUGH INSURANCE PAID FOR IT) BUT, I VACATION OFTEN. I ALSO SPEND ALL MY TIME WITH HUBBY HOME FROM IRAQ AND MY 20 MONTH OLD SON. HUGS AND KISSES TO ALL, SANDY B

WTF!!!!
You mean there's life after WLS??????? No Way!!!!!!!
Sorry about the hernia, but like you say, it's a mixed blessing. Way to go towards the TT!
I'm a naughty gal
I don't do the exercise thing
I am able to move my body more, but I don't strive to be an olympiad, just a normal person able to go about my day, you know?
Food. I'm glad you're not having problems. The cheesecake must've been wonderful! I still have problems with dense food, but surprisingly enough, I don't have a problem with sugar/dumping. A mixed blessing, that. I eat a lot of mush. My mom got me the perfect practical gag gift, a fifty pound bag of dried pinto beans. I'll never be hungry again..... I don't count calories. I just make sure I meet my protein and fluid goals, and don't worry about the rest. I know that sounds silly, but I'm just so happy to be where I am, I'm not too worried about the next 50lbs. If I do, great, if I don't, that's fine. I've become less of a slave to the scales, the more normal I've felt. My bloodwork is normal for the first time in more than a decade. The girls at my local support group were getting on me about the carbs in my PowerCrunch bar, and the dietician shut them up, that all carbs are not created equal. Kinda funny, really.
Years ago, I had to have my liver biosied, because of bad bloodwork. Come to find out I had a fatty liver, whodathunkit? So, I got the standard lecture to loose weight, and went about my life. I wouldn't worry to hard over it. For me, with just the +/-80lbs down, the tests are clear.
Clothes. It's strange how the inches come off, even when the pounds don't. I've been within the same 5 pound range for a couple of months now, but my clothes don't fit. I went to an interview and had to wear a different dress, because the one I intended to wear looked like a potato sack. Just a few weeks ago it was too tight to sit comfortablely(sp). I still fight against uniboob. The sports bra's don't itch as much as conventional bras, but I have to inact the seperation of church and state, every couple of hours, if you know what I mean...
Kids. (I shoud include my husband in this title
) My goodness, she keeps you busy. Scerick joined the cub scouts, and I can't afford the uniform. Woe is me. He's doing the popcorn sales, but we're not getting too far, as he's not allowed to go door to door out of uniform. I tried to get some online people to order from the site, so he could get credit, but we're not having much luck. He's excited about the Scouts, though. I think it's good for him to socialize with some different people.
Even if we reach a point that we don't need the chart (I can't believe someone already reached goal !!!! WTG!!!), we will still need our friends, don't be a stranger, friend!
Gosh

Thanks Grouchetta,
My personal goal is 200. I am 5'10" and 200 is pretty good for me. The doc thinks I will go lower and that will be ok. But I am shooting for the 200 mark.
Have a great day!
Topic: RE: Happy Monday Julies's Thoughts :)
Julie,
You're doing wonderfully and look absolutely great! Our biggest job is to love ourselves and accept ourselves. That to some may be harder than going through the weight loss. I learned a long time ago that I had to forgive myself, I work on that daily actually cause I cannot believe how heavy I allowed myself to get. On the other hand, I am taking charge of this body and doing what I need to to become healthy again. I am very proud of that, and I know that is what you have been doing as well. Tonight I had a snack attack and ate some chocolate squares. I am done though, I will go back to my water and my protein and the food that is good for me. I don't get pms cause I had my gear removed...mine was stricktly emotional. I've been a bit upset with my husband but I think I'm ok now. Anyway, if we can manage to get over those little hurdles in life...just like getting past the impulse items in the stores, get past those impulses to put something in our mouths, we will be fine. I've found journalling to be my best outlet...sometimes I talk to my friend or my sister about things but the journalling feels the safest. I don't have to worry about my frustrations getting out to someone who shouldn't know about them. I declare tomorrow a better day and as my favorite movie Too Wong Foo....I think tomorrow is Say Something Hat Day! Have a good one.
