I'd be really sad if I couldn't have some of ANYthing I want, though I was prepared to never have a chocolate chip cookie or piece of pizza again or whatever ... , I am very happy I can eat what I want now in moderation.

Yes, all of you February '06ers! I love coming on here and reading how well you're doing and how healthy you are becoming. I just wanted to say how much I appreciate you. I want to encourage you today! Go out and do something relaxing, just for you. Stop and breathe deep. I'm glad I know all of you and that we're in this boat together. Enjoy your journeys, friends!

We had 34 participants who have the courage to share their ongoing journey.
We've lost 4561 pounds!
An average of 134 pounds each person!
We're still losing at a rate of 1.76 pounds per week.
And we've lost 91% of our excess weight. [the expected loss for post WLSers is 70%].
Congratulations to everyone, keep up the good work and please come back in a few months and tell me how you are doing with maintenance!

Thanks Elisa! Yes, I used to hate pictures also but now I look forward to taking them and don't mind seeing myself because I actually think I look good.

Isn't it cool how painless and fun it is to take pictures now? Pre-Op, I HATED to be in pictures. Everytime my FIL visited he was always snapping pictures. Before, I was forced to be in the pictures but now I don't mind at all.
