EBAY !
Mornin Everyone !
Before my WLS journey I never really thought of looking on ebay for clothes. But when this whole thing started I was wearing a size 22/24 jeans (that to be honest at times was a bit snug ) and now, I have picked up some stuff in a size 18 that won't fit me much longer cuz it will be tooo big. I had checked out a local thrift store and was almost in tears when I saw that the prices they had on clothes was maybe only $1 less than what I would pay for it in Wally world! Thought I would never be able to get new clothes at that rate !
I was looking around ebay one day looking for a cord for my cell phone and noticed alllll the womens clothes and the huge numbers of bids. The more I looked the more excited I got. I came home, took pics of everything that I had that was in top shape and started my own auctions ! I made more than $140 and was able to turn that money around into new clothes for the "skinnier me!" I picked up a box of stuff from Old Navy (few pieces still had tags on them !) cost me less than $25 total ! You do have to look carefully at what you are bidding on and yes, to be honest it may need to be washed several times when you get it home (have bought several things and only had to do that with one pair of pants cuz they were owned by a smoker.) It is a great alternative to spending tooo much money on new clothes every few weeks. Keep the shipping in mind so you aren't surprised at what started out as really cheap doesn't become too expensive. Plus having a package on your doorstep when you get home can be a great feeling Some people sell stuff in lots so you can actually get outfits and multiple pieces at once.
Just wanted to share my latest secret with you ! If anyone needs help setting up an account give me a yell but it is really easy and fun to use.
Have a great day and enjoy your bidding !

I eBay for almost all of my daughter's wardrobe. She's stylin' for a FRACTION of the cost. As long as you're careful, read descriptions well, check feedback, I think eBay is a GREAT place. I never buy anything for myself, I have a ton of 'small' clothes in the basement that I'll be happy enough to wear again, but I did look there for a dress to wear to my sister's recent wedding, since I know I won't use it again. Have fun shopping! xosm
