Is popcorn a no-no?
I've seen other people on the main board post about this. Tooter, to be specific. She eats popcorn, but she's way more than a year out. IMHO I think we are too fresh from our surgery, to go for it. Most common opinions say anything (within reason) after 6 months. Lots of carbs, but lots of fiber. Anything will be good past 6 months, in moderation.
Be carefull. There are dietician/nutrition Natzi's on the various boards, and they will have a cow at the very idea that a "newbie" is even thinking of **gasp** eating popcorn. Don't want you to get upset if you get flamed. A lot of people get self-riteous (sp) and full of their own importance..... Guess that can happen when you can't get full of food
Stay safe, and if you must indulge, don't try more than a couple, then wait a while and see how it goes first. I, myself, have been going through a bunch of pain and stomach upset, with my stricture, and would not bless the on anyone.
Enjoy the journey,

PS I should be voted the worst/grouchiest/whatever pain in the butt, not Gigi.
Popcorn my favorite these days. My doctor said it was ok. Just take your time because you know how they have them stuborn unpopped kernals. The brand I was told to try was Healthy something in a green box and they are small individual bags. When I get the name I will get back to you. Good luck and be careful.

I've had popcorn...regular and ketal corn and it went down fine, I didn't have any problems with it. No gas, no stomach upset. My doctor only restricted my diet for the first 6wks then I was able to eat whatever I wanted within moderation. I've had salad, fruit, just about anything I wanted but I only have a taste and I'm done. But I always stick to the rule of protein first
