Yummy Yummy in my Tummy
I found it! I found it! I found the first protein bar that actually tastes like a candy bar. I can only eat like a fourth at a time because so rich. I usually hate all diet stuff. But my husband talked me into trying the body for life chocolate mint (tastes like those mint Christmas cookies or those Fannie May Mint Meltaways). It didn't have that many carbs or sodium either like other protein bars. It was 210 calories but a whopping 15g of protein. My nutritionist said I may not be getting in enough calories each day to be losing the optimal amount of weight that I can. The chart on www.thinnerself.com/files/Expect_Chart.html says I could be getting more calroies in so I guess if I eat a 1/4th as a snack that is like 50 cal and 4g of protein (I will never waste 50 calories on a fat free fudge bar or crappy popsicle again). I was in heaven. My grocery store sold them singlely in the diet area for 89 cents. I need to try some other kinds and I'll let you folks know. Hugs, Sandy
Sounds great. I have been avoiding chocolate because the surgeon told me not to have caffeine at all after surgery. I did have a little with the Mayfield sugar free ice cream bars (chocolate covered vanilla bars)which taste exactly like the real deal. I also love the South Beach cranberries and almond protein bars. I'm going to try this bar you suggested. Does anyone know what the reason is to avoid caffeine completely? There probably isn't that much in the Body for Life bar anyway. I love chocolate mint! Thanks for letting us know!
