An entire hot pocket...with butter
Okay I am *usually* very good about eating healthy protein foods. But I have had an occasional slip-up. I found that I dump on NOTHING not fat or sugar. Which is a good thing and a bad thing. I don't get the benefit of the behavioral modification aspect of surgery, but I've also never gotten sick, and can go anywhere and not worry...I just eat a much smaller portion than pre-op. I have always felt like I can take more in than other RNY'ers even at the liquids phase I could have a cup-sometimes more. The other night I had one ounce of cheese and 4 oz's of chili-so I think my pouch is about 5 oz's. Anyway-I am upset because I just ate an entire lean pocket -even added some real butter to it- with no problem. Can anyone else relate to this? I am losing weight at an awesome rate, but I am worried about long-term success.
Alright try this on for size. I never dumped until I tried a bean burrtio from Taco Bell. OMG It was horrible. I felt like I was having a heart attack. I needed to lay down immediately and brief calmly. Later I found out that Taco Bell has like sugar in their beans or something different becasue a lot of people said this after trying. I am glad though that now I know what dumping is and should feel like so I am more careful about what I eat and when I eat it. You don't want this to happen while you are out and about and cant lay down. Hugs, Sandy
OMG-Thank you so much my twin sisters...LOL! I feel so much better knowing that I am not alone. I think that it can be a good thing because we have to teach ourselves early on to deal with those cravings.
Kristy-that's about 16 pounds a month!!!! That's awesome girl! You rock, don't be down on yourself, you are doing so good.
Sandra, a bean burrito??? Wow I can't believe the things people dump on. Watch me be the one that dumps on lettuce...LOL
Thanks again ladies. You are all awesome.
