Monday AM Wake up call !

Morning all... Hoping that your weekend was everything that you wanted it to be. It was way too cold and rainy up here in Upstate NY but I think I got most of my inside chores done. ( I just love chores ) This morning I was driving to work, thinking that I was going to pin my daily happiness on... (what a thing to think about while driving, I know...) Then it really clicked. I haven't had to go to the massage therapist or chiropractor in pain. Prior to my surgery I would be on that table every Friday after work in pain waiting for my massage therapists magic fingers to soothe away the pain. This past Friday I had my massage but it didn't occur to me til this AM that I wasn't hurting when I lowered my slimmer and trimmer body () onto the table ! My chiropractor appt is later this week, and I am not counting the minutes til I get there for my adjustment !!!!! So, I guess that just like we can't compare our weight losses to others we can't compare our "happiness" but be thankful for it all, big or little ! So what about you guys ?? Where is your happiness hanging today ?

My happiness is hanging on the fact that I am alive and well and my blood pressure was 117/73 today, not high at all, so I was tickled! Also i am happy that I am feeling so much better and more energetic and I ggot a few compliments today, hehe, that made me happy too! As for being thankful I am happy that I ahve a bbetter chance of seeing my grandkids someday! Peggy

I had my surgery on the 17th of April and I got my drain removed on the 27th of April. The deciding factor to take the drain out with my doctor is that the amount of drainage needs to be less than 30 cc a day. I hope this helps. Take care, Serena

Hi jeane I did not have a jp drain after my open RNY on April 12 so I can't help with that one but I would like to know what interesting ways you get your protein in because I am having a hard time getting all mine in.

I had my drain removed 2 days after suregeryafter they determine if there is no leaking in the pouch....my problem is I am 27 days post op everything seemed to go fine then wham at 3 weeks post op i got this pain in my lower left side between the main insicion and the one by my naval and above the main one does....and boy it hurts to walk .....does anyone else have had this problem ......
