I dont even know when this "mini goal" of hitting 60 pounds by 8 weeks popped into my head but WOW Im so stoked!!! So a big ol' WOOOHOOOOOOO for all us losers!!! *ps.......we went home this weekend and I saw all my old friends and classmates. Many of them were floored and didnt even recognize me at first!!!

Michelle that is SOOO AWESOME!!! Tell me more about the upping your food intake, do we need a certain amount of calories to burn more fat or what? Also can you give me an idea of your routine, such as what you eat and how much you work out, I wanna see if it will help me too!! lol Congratulations! You are doing AWESOME! Hugs, Peggy

hey.. the more the merrier! we can turn this place into WLS Recovery Inn! Bypass friendly food, only! wow. that could be an idea.. lol I hope that I end up like your sister. I know I'm going to walk as much as possible while i'm in the hospital. I want myself to get used to it so that when I'm home, I'm moving on, not just sleeping it off. Although, I'm sure I'll be doing both. LOL I can't believe it's so close. The days are FLYING by!!! kristen

The only thing I really added to my food intake was a 190 calorie protein bar in the morning for breakfast and occasionally one later in the day. I couldnt eat much more than a bite or two of eggs for breakfast before that and I have no problems getting down a protein bar while I am driving to work! I have tried nearly every low to no sugar protein bar out there and I finally found the one I like! It is a balance bar but its the carb well version. I will sometimes eat one for lunch too if I am rushing around. I eat so little that I dont think I get 200 calories from a meal any other way! I was also told by my nut that I was not getting enough fat, so the protein bar gives me some of that too! The fiber in the protein bars also keep the poop works functioning more normally too! I was getting about 350-500 calories a day before. Once I added the bars, that bumped me up to between 600-900 calories per day. I cant stomach the protein drinks anymore, but the nut told me the bars are better at this point anyway since the liquid goes right through my pouch and the bars I hold on to for awhile! I have been cleared for any foods that I can tolerate BUT the amounts of those foods are so tiny that my calorie levels just arent that high. I keep my water bottle at my desk filled ALL day long. If I get up to run an errand, I bring the bottle with me and top it off at the water cooler. I feel like it tastes fresher this way and I drink more! I normally do 80-100 oz daily sometimes a bit more. I wish I could say Im exercising like a fiend but Im not! I run around at work and sometimes can squeeze a 30-60 min treadmill workout in a few times a week but thats it! We are getting ready to move and my plan is once we are settled and I am not working anymore, my gym trips will become much more regular. It isnt a huge thing I did, but it seems to have worked to keep my weight loss moving in the right direction! Even if I stay the same weight a few days in a row, my clothes are still getting bigger. I definitely think its my bodys way of "catching up". I went through my clothes tonight and got rid of EIGHT garbage bags FULL of clothes to go to goodwill!!!!!!!!! I simply had no room for fat clothes any longer and now its much easier to pick through what I have left to see what fits! Every three weeks I re-try on what I have in the closet cause my shape is shifting so quickly!! My God I love to watch my transformation!!!
