HELLO Grouchetta here! I just got back from my sister's wedding upstate [glad that is over, sober weddings are NOT fun]. I think I will email everyone on my list with a weigh in reminder on 4/30 and then I'll put up on post on 5/1 in case I have wrong emails, etc. link again: http://blog.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=blog.view&FriendID=48498743&blogMonth=4&blogD ate=2&blogYear=2006 Anyone else who wants to join just email me with surgery date, start weight and goal weight - - then on May first I'll need your current weight and the chart does the rest. I still have an open wound at the bottom of my incision, it's about a half an inch around on top and about 4 inches deep - and getting rinsed out with saline and packed with gauze daily by a visiting nurse. I am not in constant pain anymore, like I was a few weeks ago, but I am still hindered from doing as much as I would like. This past week I couldn't tell if I was feeling physically better, too much stress with my sister's wedding preparations {sigh} but today I am feeling hopeful. Tomorrow I will see the surgeon for a follow up and an official weight loss number [I think I am around 55 lbs down with no exercise]. I have been able to tolerate just about anything I try to eat, as long as I chew it well and make myself stop eating BEFORE I feel full. I recently paid for the FitDay software upgrade and like it a lot better [it's easier to track the fluids]. This past month my goal was to double my protein intake to 100g [was at 50ish the first month post op] and up my fluids to around 56 oz daily [with an eventual goal of 70 oz]. I have done very well with the protein intake, but averaging only around 50 ounces of water ... since I am still so tired, napping cuts into the time I should be drinking! LOL. I found it was a lot easier to get in all the fluids when I was out of the house the past 3 days for the wedding ... I was always on the move and it was easy for me to tote my water bottle ... somehow being home requires more thought?? But last night I had some Chinese chicken and veggies and I think I'm retaining water today cause I feel bloated. I still have another week to decide on what I want next months goal to be, but I am leaning towards trying to cut out the naps and include more exercise [I have a Gazelle]. I get so jealous when I read about all Julie's working out ... I can't wait until I'm healed enough to exercise, when I used to have a regular routine, I loved it. Anyhoo ... can't wait to see the May chart. Hope everyone else is feeling well ... now I'm going to try to catch up on reading everyone's posts. xosm
