women?

Are your periods wack? I get mine late and NO I AM NOT PREGO bite your tounges lol and sometime longer or shorter its just weird. I think this upset with my body losing weight it effecting everything. lol Today is my 10 week mark i weighed in at the gym and lost another 3 pounds i was glad i look forward to reaching my first really big goal of-50 pounds i am at -47 now so hopefull next wee****EP ON KEEPING ON...oh and the gym is closed sat and sun this week woohooooooooo....oh i mean darn i cant work out ...lol J 271/224/143

Julie, I had a hysterectomy when I was quite young and had my period taken out! However, my sister had WLS a year and a half ago. Hers went crazy. Then it stopped altogether for a while. They thought she was going thru early menopause. But now every thing is back to normal. The reason they gave her for all the craziness is this: the body stores estrogen in fat cells. When you start losing, especially a fast loss like with WLS, the estrogen is dumped along with the fat and you have a shortage. It takes the brain and the ovaries a while to catch up. So don't get too stressed out over it. Your body will catch up and you will probably be more regular than you have ever been. Patricia

I had my last period, medically induced by meds, in September 2005. The next time I had mine was when I woke up from surgery. I just finished one this month, so it looks like I'll be every other month "regular" for a change. I wish I was prego instead of ragu, and will be very happy in 17 months, when I can atempt to get preggers again. BTW my husband can testify to the release of estrogen.... all over him. Gosh

Hey jULIE, MY PERIODS ARE TOTALLY OUT OF WHACK! i HAD MINE 3 WEEKS AFTER SURGERY AND EXPECTED IT AGAIN THIS WEEK, BUT STILL WAITING AND NO I CANT BE PREGNANT i HAD A TUBAL IN OCTOBER 2005 AND HUBBY IS IN IRAQ SO THERE IS NO WAY! HAHA.

I was just finishing my period when I had surgery. The next one was 2 weeks late and this one was right on schedule. And as heavy as ever. I have ablation and a tubal scheduled for May to stop my periods and stop my baby making! I've lost exactly the same amount of weight you have, Julie. And we had surgery on the same day. Only you are more diligent I'm ashamed to say about excercise and proper diet. I don't dump and I don't get sick. so you know what that means... Tracey
