Hey guys, when I enter a custom food there are terms I am not sure what they are...any help is appreciated. For example what is: Polyunsaturated Fat & Monounsaturated Fat? Also why is there a section for alcohol and no section for sugars? I thought I'd ask you all before I researched for answers. Thanks Elisa

Elisa, Those are a breakdown of fats. I don't worry about filling those in unless it is listed on the nutritional panel of the food I am entering. I have always assumed the alcohol was sugar alcohols but since it is not listed like that I leave it blank also. Hope that helps Jessi

Thanks Jessi, yeah I have been leaving blank what I don't see on the nutrition facts. I was thinking that those fats could be another name for transfat? Well I guess I won't worry about it then unless it's listed. I still think they should have a section for sugars or sugar alcohols. Elisa

Hey Julie, guess how many calories I had yesterday? way more than I thought possible. See, I use fitday but not everyday consistantly so I always figured I ate between 500-700 cals but last night I saw I took in 997 cals!!!!!! I don't work out as hard as you, but I have been going for walks. I know hardly can call that a workout---so don't feel bad, I think you are doing the right thing. Yesterday I ate that many calories today I HOPE I don't eat so many but if I do I"ll get over it--unless I start to gain pounds back Take care, Elisa

you know i think we all think we are supose to eat between 500-700 cal but lets look at this normally. Ok if we had not had this surgery and we were on a diet the typical diet is 1200-1500 i assume lol i never stayed on a diet long enough but what did we eat i know i had to consume like 4000 cal at least. and my basal burned cal is 1800 just doing nothing all day. so i think you right not to worry. i think if we get to 1200 cal we should not worry we are still eating WAY less than we ever did. I cant wait to see though how the exercise will help me. on my 12 week update if i did great maybe everyone will start working out lol J
