Exercise
Besides walking...have any of you started an exercise program at a gym or at home? I bought the new Tae-Bo dvd's because I loved the old version. I'm 5 1/2 wks post-op and I will ask my doctor at my next appt on the 18th but I was wondering if it's too soon to do something so physical this early out? I just don't want to get a hernia.

Yeah that's all I do is walk right now. I wanted to buy the Carmen Electra striptease aerobic workout dvd but I don't know... Any of you own that dvd and do you like it? I wonder if they are good workouts or just silly striptease moves--which I wouldnt mind learning to show off my new, improving bod to my hubby...hehe. OK bye

Sylvia,
I started my gym work out at 6 weeks. I do 30 min of cardio on the tread mill and i am on a weight training work out too. I am at the gym between 1 to 1.5 hours 5 days a week. i hate every min of it but we will see i think this is a key yo hlping tone and not have so much skin and I KNOW I DONT WANT SKIN lol. keep us updated on your work out i will as well this is the part i hate the most and encouragement works well for me and i am sure it will for others. Kepp it up

PS just so you know when you start to work out as much as i am you will be hungrey all the time and you will ave to increase your cal intake. it scared me at first.
6wks sounds reasonable...I guess I'll start next week. I'll start off slow until I get the final word from my doctor in a couple of weeks. I'm just concerned because I don't eat much...I'm only getting in 400-450cals a day which is kind of low to be working out. I'll just take it easy and like you said, it will make me hungrier.
Thanks,
Sylvia
I bought an elliptical and use that daily for as many minutes as I can. I also have an aerobic step that I am starting to use again. I have not joined a gym. Every time I ever joined one, I never went. I am hoping to break that cycle and get out and join one, but we are going to be moving back to New York in a few months, so I will probably wait.
Hugs,
Deanna
