If you are experiencing weight stalls, don't worry!!!!!!!!! I read every day about people experiencing weight stalls I do get depressed because this has happened to me. I lost 30 within 2 1/2 weeks and now I have been stalled for the last 2 1/2. So I did research folks and guess what! Some of us lose fast and some lost slow, I went on all the old message boards from different surgery dates and I did the math. We all will lose at different rates the first 6 months but then we all average off!!!! So like I am down 30 and I stall until month 2. THen lets say someone loses 12 month 1 and 18 month 2. We equal out together. THE BEST GOAL BASED ON ALL THE PAST MESSAGE BOARDS IS 12.5 lbs per month. Make yourself a chart with how you are doing and what 12.5 lbs down per month is. Then when you only experience losing a few lbs. in a month you can see you are on track. For example, Started at Month 1 I am The averages say I should be 324 March 27 294 311.5 April 299 May 286.5 So you can see I am where some people will be in May, so most likely I may lose slower in April or May and stall. Then keep with the averages, these will be the best reasonable goals. The first 6 months the averages are 12.5 per month or 75 for 6 months. From month 6-12, that seems to vary so I am doing research on that. It seems to matter how much left that you have to lose. Thus far, I have found about 4-7 per month and some lucky people have been 8 lbs for the last part of the year. Upon months, 12-15 people seem to get close to their goals and then someone awful happens around 18 months--people start gaining some back. Maybe becuase they get lax and realize they hit their goal and start not doing what they are suppose too!! If you research and find different numbers, let me know I have been on 3 sites and taken peoples weight down and started figuring what was the average so I knew what to work for!!! I'm on the same stall pattern. I started at 296, had sx on 2/28. Lost 30 pounds in the first 2 1/2 weeks, and nothing until this week. Now I've lost another 5 in just two days. I'm really trying to get an exercise program started...but there just aren't enough hours in the day to do everything that needs to be done!
