dumb question
June, did you take measurements beforehand? If so, get out the tape measure and do it again. I didn't see it either (but my husband did) and when I measured it during my stall I was -19.5 inches. I was pleasantly shocked. See each Friday night I try on the stuff in my closet and wear the new stuff that fits the next week to work (it keeps me in a positive mind). After I'd measured those inches gone I tried on something from before surgery... It was BIG! No doubt you've lost inches too....we just don't see it in ourselves ...ask the hubby, I bet he's noticed. June,
I've been going up and down between 1x and 3 - 4x for about the last 8 years. Here is a joke I make, which is kind of true. The good thing about being so large is you can go up or down 50 pounds and wear the same clothes!!! You are doing great! You must feel it in the little things you do each day. I've only lost 22 since surgery, but there are a few clothing items that just weren't working for me before that I can wear now.
Keep it up!

June, I weighed 155lbs almost 4 summers ago prior to getting preggo and then very sick. In 3 years I gained over 150lbs and I'm honestly still wearing the same stretchy maternity pants I wore when I weighed less than 200lbs [I bought some new t-shirts, but that's about it]! I have lost about 45 pounds since January and, big surprise, I don't notice the difference either. The nut. measured me in Dec and I have lost inches [I think 6 from around my belly], but my clothes don't feel any different - I guess they won't if I stick with these stretchies LOL.
For me the most amazing things are that I no longer have to take GERD meds, I no longer have diabetes episodes and my blood sugar has stabilized naturally, I am on half the amount of b/p meds and talking about weaning more and I am sleeping better [no snoring without my CPAP either, and no headaches!].
I think it will probably take a lot of weight loss [for me] to notice a difference, I think what you are feeling is normal. I don't have any real good advice except to measure your success in how you feel and less on how you THINK you look [sooo much easier said than done!]. xosm
June,
Being that i have SOOOO many firneds that have had the surgey i can not reiterate enought THAT EVERYONE IS DIFFERANT! I know..myself included, we go on this web site and compare. So and So had there suregry same day as me and i can wear that size or i didnt lose that much. DONT DO THAT! People have said to me how can you only have lost 40 pounds and have gone down 3 sizes....who knows i dont know. And i am 8 weeks out and some people are down like 50 pounds its depressing but..I refuse to compare. I am differant and some people have a curvey shape where i am shapped like a BOX ( I am sponge bob squarepants sisiter) lol so where my middrift is the same as my hips...i know funny looking but some have huge hips and tiny waist we are all differant and one day you will go in your closet and be like omg nothing fits and when it dose I WANT AN EMAIL!!!! Good luck And you keep in keeping on
