WOW moments...stop and think
Ok, Feb Board, we're out a month or more at this point, we talk about what we eat and drink, we try not to obsess on the scale and look for lost inches.....have we stopped to think....what can YOU do NOW you couldn't do in January???
I pulled out of my driveway yesterday and turned all the way round in the seat to check for kids on bikes....and the lightbulb went off! I could move!
I can do the flight of stairs without huffing. I can cross my ankle on my knee comfortably. I can fit in "normal" chairs more comfortably. I can sit Indian style on the floor to play w/kids. I felt like dancing this weekend so I tried it in my livingroom, wiggled my butt pretty good too! (course, everything crunched, but it felt good!!!!!!)
Yeah for us!!!!!! Let's hear'em!
HI Jackie, well I was thinking about this and I think I have a few to share:
*My bathrobe actually fits like it's supposed to--I can close it now
*My clothes are definitely feeling a lot looser
*When I get on the scale it doesn't make those crackling sounds like its' about to break
*I can close my legs a lot easier (noticed this when I stand on scale)
*My cheeks don't look like they are about to bust
*I'm starting to see a waistline emerging...still have a ways to go but I can see a shape forming
*I have also felt like getting up and dancing...but I haven't given it a go yet...maybe this weekend on my b-day!! Wooohoo I'm going to be 29 on Sunday .
Yay...we are doing great huh? Way to go LOSERS!!

Hi Everyone
Wow you made me think about that and here are the things I can do:
I workout everyday
All my clothes fit really loose
I can wear jeans
I can cross my legs easier
I am more motivated to go out and do alot things with my child
I went out with friends on Sat night and was not embarassed to dance
Congratulations to everyone else who has added something to this post!!!! Good luck on future goals!!!
Stephanie
Great post!
I can cross my legs.
I can wear my husband's robe and close it.
I can wear an 18/20--something I haven't done in 6 years.
I can walk on the treadmill on an incline at 3.1 mph and feel light and walk easily.
I don't feel constricted or self conscious anymore. Even though realistically, I'm still an obese woman, just having lost 41 lbs gives me more confidence to get out and move around.
MORE ENERGY already!!!
So much more.

Well I am down 35lbs and I can now cross my legs again, tie my shoes easily, my clothes are fitting really loose now and I can actually wear things I had in the back of my closet. Tomorrow it will be 6 wks for me and I went from a Size 24/26 to a Size 18/20. I am able to walk 2 miles without a problem and I have more energy than ever before. Thank God for this surgery!

I had to giggle when i read this , isnt it exciting that we can do more now than we did a month ago? Yesterday I was chasing my kids through the house I mean actually running and my oldest daughter turns around and squeals"YOu're running, actually running!" This made me stop and laugh, it feels great to be able to play with them again, anyhoo here is my list:
I can walk on treadmill at 3.4 mph, at incline of only 2 though
I had to buy a smaller bra(havent decided if I should be happy about that yet...hahah
I can sit in the floor and play with kids and run around with them.
I can sit indian style in the recliner, comfortably, before I could never have done that!
I have more energy and motivation from walking everyday
and I am just excited to be ALIVE, NOW!!!
It's the little things in life that make it so GREAT!
Hugs and Praise to everyone for doing more than they could before!
