I had surgery Feb 23rd and tomorrow starts my 6wks and I am now on totally normal foods that I can handle. The good news is that I am down a total of 36lbs. I never thought that this was truly possible it all just became a dream before surgery. Reading everyone's success and profiles, I never really thought that the dream would actually come true, I am trying to lose about at least 5 more lbs in the next week. So how is everyone else doing with their post op stages???

Marcia... Congrats on the great loss ! I had my surgery on 2/20 and have lost around 40 lbs since my first Dr. appt with my surgeon, but have lost more than 3 inches off my waist so that is a great thing. I checked out your profile- I started off at 250 and alot of people looked at me and said "Ohhh you don't need that surgery!" Well little did they know that I was tired of shooting insulin, taking oral diabetes meds, stuff for hypertension and gerd... Plus the pain in my hips and knees while doing the dishes (lets not even talk about grocery shopping or a walk !) and the inablity to stay awake past 8 pm made it necessary for me to have the surgery ! I haven't yet regretted my decision although there were a few times as I was heaving my dinner that I was wondering... I have a hard time eating anything mixed with cheese it seems. If I eat cheese and nothing else I am able to keep it down but mix it with anything else and I am ready to upchuc****ep up the great work and be sure to keep us posted on your success !

Congradulation!! I had my surgery on 2-21 and am down 35 lbs. since my 1st apt. on Jan. 5th. I weighed 245 to start. I am feeling like it is coming off really slow. I am walking on my days off work and getting in the protein, but the water thing is still hard for me. Glad to hear from people that had it around the same time as me. Kristin

Congradulations on your loss I know your not sorry to see it go. I had surgery 2-7 of this year and I have lost 36 pounds and 13 inches. I walk on my treadmill every other day and do a workout tape from the biggest loser show. I also have a hard time with my protein, because I found out the hard way I am allergic to whey. It wasn't pleasant. But I'll find something, I'm sure I'm not the only one this has happened to. Tammy
