Ok folks I want to start a list of what our new favorite things to eat are since the surgery. Yesterday as my 13 month old ate dinner, I realized that he eats a lot more than I do. But what kicked me in the tush was when I realized that my 3 lb. cat eats more than I do. So here it goes my favorite things: Isopure Slushee 20g Protein (I know you may have tried it before and it stunk but try the Orange flavor. Then add lots of ice and get the Sugar Free Tang--its in the grocery store next to Crystal Light. Once you add the Tand blend and sip until you love. I put this in a cup and carry with and sip sip sip. I get my water and Protein in. I only use 1/2 the Isopure.) Kemps Cottage Cheese 7 g Protein (1/2 cup) Mozzarella sticks 7 g Protein Carnation Instant Breakfast Chocolate 12 g Protein (Make sure it's the O sugars one and then I add skim milk) Hugs and Kisses, Sandy

"But what kicked me in the tush was when I realized that my 3 lb. cat eats more than I do." Sandy, that is so funny...I can't stop laughing. Anyway, I haven't tried the Carnation Instant Breakfast chocolate...but I wanted to ask you. Does it taste like chocolate milk? I'm looking for something that does cause lately I have been craving to sip on something that can substitute the real thing. Ok so here are my favorite things: Soy protein Vanilla flavor (& I just bought Whey-I hope it's just as good) with 1 blue bunny lite Strawberry/banana, 1 small not-so-ripe banana (it contains less sugar that way), 1/2 cup of milk and ice...hmm it's good. Cottage cheese Soy Crisps - Barbeque (I have to try the salt & vinegar) Baby Dill Pickles-I know maybe we shouldn't but those are so good and I can chew down to almost nothing since the seeds are also babies! Almonds & sunflower seeds Elisa

Elisa, I have tried lots of chocolate flavored protein shakes to no avail so far. They are Nasty with a capital N. Now, slim fast ultra chocolate powder they say is too much for us (well according to my dietician)---but carnation instant breakfast reminds me of that. Make sure to get the 0 sugars one. Plus you can go to the dollar store and get the popsicle holders. Then pour in the mixed carnation instant breakfast chocolate with skim milk and wahoooooooo you have a sugar free fudge bars. It's the best tasting chocolate I've tried so far. My mom hates anything diet, even though you would think her tiny self eats only diet foods. She always can tell within a bite if it is low cal, low fat, sugar free etc. Well I got hurt to start drinking this carnation instant breakfast in the morning instead of her normal donut. She really likes it. I also started having it before bed when I am close to my protein count for the day. Ohhh and I have to try those soy crisps. My doctor said I can't go on to those kinda things until my one month appt. But I am looking forward to it. Hugs and Kisses, Sandy

HERSHEY'S NO SUGAR ADDED 1% CHOCOLATE MILK.....FABULOUS STUFF!! A veteran at one of my meetings told me about it and it's been love ever since.....and 11 grams of protein to boot!!! Also, Hershey's makes sugar free chocolate syrup too if you need to mix it into Lactaid milk. No need to miss chocolate milk....it's where I get my chocolate fix too...hahahaha

The protein powder I get Designer Whey from GNC is good. I love the chocolate, the strawberry is my 2nd fav. and the choc. peanut carmel is ok. I tried the sugar free hersey syrup.....nasty! The diet hot choc. mix is good too. I also just found at our super walmart special k w/ protein....there are 20 g of protein per 3/4 cup. I haven't tried it yet, but it is sitting in my cupboard. I've enjoyed reading your posts. Kristin from Michigan 245/212

Let's see, beef with FF cheddar cheese (closest I can get to my Philly cheesesteak), Cottage cheese w/fruit. Any fish or chicken w/FF dill dressing, CIB w/tbls. simply jif pb and protein powder, Hershey's NSA chocolate milk, Dannon Light n Fit yogurts, pistachio nuts, crystal lite raspberry to go packet in a 16.9 bottle of water semi-frozen (like a raspberry slurpee, yum!) Oh, I found seafood salad pureed a little goes great on saltines (3 to 5); I was worried about the mayo but the nutritionist had no problems with it. Hummus (comes in different flavors, watch the fat per flavor) also good on crackers with a little piece of red pepper and/or feta cheese; makes a cute little appetizer for parties. Egg salad's not what it used to be but I'm working on it; trying to find something besides mayo to substitute. Maybe cottage cheese? Any suggestions?
