Advice & Encouragement Needed!!!
Hi Sherri!! I think you are going to do it! So don't worry so much. Right now we are in our "honey moon" period with our pouchies and according to several post-ops this is goof proof. So keep doing what you are doing and you will accomplish that -39#s goal . Keep up the good work and don't doubt yourself & the pouch.

I think that the first month, people tend to lose less than they do the second month and third. That's what people on the January board have said. I lost a lot the first week, but less now. I can tell it won't be a lot the next time I go in.
I think it will go up next month... The other thing, get up and walk for 30 minutes a day. That's part of the plan to get the weight off...
Good luck and keep your head up!

You are doing great...and dont put so much pressure on your self. everyone is differant. Like i told another girl our bodies are FREAKING OUT....it cant decide to burn fat or store it so one day it burns and the next day it stores. You just do what your dr says and you will do great. I am not going to tell you you WILL lose 39 in a month BUT what i will tell you is you will lose what your body wants you to. and what ever that is you should be proud of yourself. Hey I have to constently say "Julie your doing good and you will succeed this time" and you know what YOU WILL SUCCEED this time. Stay strong we are all doing it with you across the country and we know what it feels like and I am proud of you

I hate to say that I am glad that there are so many of us "newbies" who are in the same boat but... I know at times when I look at the scale and it hasn't budged that I feel like I MUST BE doing something wrong ! But I just keep remembering that I didn't gain it all in a month so I won't lose it all in a month either ! LMAO... MY BODY IS GOING CRAZY... I'll keep that in mind so I can laugh and not cry !
Terri, just an aside. I read your profile and you mentioned having chili and then you had a stall. I had a similar thing happen to me last week. Too much sodium in the chili, scale didn't budge for almost 4 days. (I ate the chili a little each day for 2 days.) I should've known better, I had a huge stall earlier due to soups but it was Wendy's chili, everybody recommended it and by the time I realized it and looked up the sodium content on the net it was too late. Just a thought.
Thanks for the info on the chili... Seems like there are so many more things that we need to learn as we go thru this process. I will be sure to cross it off my list of favorites ! And of course since it is a big can, I have been nursing it for a couple of days already so...Hopefully I will get a bit smarter everyday ! LOL
Sherri, you are doing just great! That's 25 you'll never see again! Put away the scale and work the program and it'll whittle you down as it should. Your body is still healing and you are exercising it at that. No doubt you are holding water against all the healing parts for protection. That's normal too. You're doing great, great, great! Be gentle with yourself. I hear we are in for lots more fun and frivolity in the next few months....don't get yourself down this soon out.
