Fodds and weight loss
I had a revision from a vbg to a r n y prox on 2/9/06 so I am a little over a month out. I have only lost 15.5 lbs for the month. Our surgeon has us on one week clear liquid and then the next week progress to full liquid./ soft foods. Third week add fish, vegges, and so I have been eating things like 1/2 cup refried beans with cheese on top( allowed by surgeon), chilli beans with beef (mild) cottage cheese, 1/2 cup, salad bothers me still so I am staying away from that right now. I have had tuna with a little mayo(nonfat) and that is a pouch full which says 7 ounces but there is no way there is more than 1/2 cup in there. We are allowed whole wheat cereal so I have had malt-o-meal and I can eat a cup full, with sweetner. cottage cheese has carbs as does plain yogert. I try to get in vitamins although I forget some of them, and do 2 protein shakes a day. Do u think I'm loosing slow because these foods are high in carbs? tell me what u think? Maril ps I remember I tried nuts- and I ate a small bag of cashews, and jerkey which had too much salt in it. I have eaten in taco bell when on the road(beans with cheese) and I tried eas ready made shakes but they seemed to put weight on me.
