Good stuff to EAT!
Hey guys have you tried eating the zesty barbeque Soy Crisps made by Genisoy? OMG they are freakin' delicious! For a serving of 17 crisps you get 110 calories, 2g of fat, 160g sodium, 17g carbs, 2g dietary fiber, 2g sugars, and 7g OF PROTEIN!!! I don't know if it's good or bad but they definitely taste GOOD and they sit well in my 3 week old pouch!! So instead of having crackers I have soy crisps which are better I think.

Elisa, every doc is different by mine said nothing hard like crisps or doritos or pretzels til about 2 mos. out. The pouch is still too new and prone to being irritated by the scratch of them. Crackers turn to mush so they are ok. Take Care not to eat too many...once down the hatch there's only 2 ways to come out, neither pleasant. If they are working for you, I'll just live vicariously....hahahaha Jackie
Oh mine did too Jackie but these soy crisps are like rice cakes and a lot lighter than crackers. They almost disappear when you chew them. Try and see for yourself. I wouldn't eat anything to hurt my pouch...I learned my lesson last week--I tried to have chicken because my doc said it was ok if it was pureed & chewed really, really well but my pouch didn't agree.

Those zesty barbeque ones are AWESOME! One problem...they made me incredibly bloated. I ate them for 2 meals 2 days straight - big mistake. I did some research and I was shocked to find out that soy actually makes some people bloated. I'm one of the lucky ones I guess. I was in severe pain for 2 days.
Maybe once in a while they would be a nice treat for me. I'll try again in a week or so.
