Hi Sherri! 22 pounds...I think that's awesome. I think we have this vision of losing the first 50 overnight, and although frustrated to see some posts that boast this loss, I have to remind myself that I am me and the weight will come off eventually. I had my RNY on 2/23, a Thursday. I weighed myself the Tues. before, and weighed myself the Sunday after, and had lost 16 pounds. YEAH!! Most of it was water weight, I'm pretty sure. Then, I weighed myself on Tuesday, one week since I had been eating regularly. 19 pounds!! Well, I got on the scale this morning, and guess what? I've lost a total of......drum roll......19 pounds! Nothing has chaned in like, 9 days. I can totally relate to what you are saying. Are you always weighing yourself on the same scale? I don't worry what the scale says at my Dr.s, I keep weighing myself at home, where I can be nekked! I have been doing the best I can with the protein, but I think I will step it up a bit, and see if that helps. I really do think that my body is in shock, and it's natural for our bodies to fight and save what it can if it thinks we are starving. SO, I'm hitting the protein. Hang in there! The weight will come off.

Sherri, you're doing great. Like so many others, I experienced my first plateau last week and I'm only 1 month post-op. I actually went up 2 lbs, then finally went down 3. It's normal. We are going to fluctuate. Keep up the fluids and follow your doc's orders. It'll come off soon enough.
