Just saying Hi, Doctor Gluck called me today to see how things were going, I'm happy to say all is well. I had a concern about just how much protein to take in at one time 15cc or 1 once, and he said anywhere in between is fine.... so I guess I don't have any complaints. Sure wish someone would have told me about not being able to reach certain parts of my body for a few days after surgery.... I would have prepared better. Hope to meet some of you local people some time. Keep in touch. Penny

Hi Penny, I know what you mean about not being to reach certain parts! I thought if I struggled before (pre-op) then it was going to be a real struggle right after surgery. I was dreading it but hadn't really thought about that problem until the 4th day of post-op. Sorry! Hope all is well, take care! Elisa

Not to be too forward, but I wanted to share what helped me. I have what people call an apron, meaning my gut hangs down over my lap. I swore it would never get that way, but there it is. So, at the hospital I was worried over how I would get to lower areas when I had to use the ladies room. Lemme tell you: in the hospital, they give you a metal contraption to put toilet paper on and deal with those areas. Well, my nurse forgot to send me home with one. Know what I did? Using advice I got on this site, I used a wooden kitchen sppon with a long handle. I only used it less than a week, but for those first few days home, it was a blessing!!! No joke! So, that's my story and I'm stickin' to it. (If that offended you, I do apologize. I just wanted to share my experience) Jen Halliday
