Im Feeling Awesome !!!!

Hi Everyone !!! I just wanted to let you all know that I am home and I am feeling great! My surgery was Thursday 2/16, was released from the hospital on Sat 2/18 and came home from fresno (stayed at a friends house cause I lives 2 hrs from fresno) on Tues 2/21!!! I am tolerating all liquids well and starting today I am on the "mush" diet. So far this morning Ive had a little bit of plain malt-o-meal and some unsweetened applesauce!!! It tasted so good after a week and a half of jello and popsicles!!! lol So, Im doing great... walking, wearing my old jeans and healing fast! Ive already lost 13 lbs!!!! And its so cool, cause Im not hungry... never thought I would say that! YAY So, thanks for all the support! Talk to you soon!

Glad to hear you're doing so well. Congratulations. I, too, had surgery on Feb. 16. I was d/c on Feb. 17. I started my full liquids today. I wish I could have some applesauce. I've lost 11 lbs, so I know how you're feeling. Good luck on your continuing weight loss journey!

That's one of the things that hit me too, just how great I felt. Maybe it was lingering anesthesia I had RNY distal on 2-14, d/s 2-16, ran into major snow storm on the way home, managed to pull over into motel. I sleep so well. GERD has disappeared. If I did have apnea (it was never diagnosed for sure) it is gone now. I hope the euphoria hangs in there. I like the feeling.
