MADE IT 2 DAYS WITHOUT FOOD JUST LIQUIDS 5 DAYS TILL SURGERY
You will do great. I had mine on the 6th and except for the gas, I felt absolutely wonderful. My dr said my surgery was perfect, he could not have asked to perform a more perfect surgery!!!!!
You will do fine, I was nervous but I was not even scared not even when they took me to the OR. I said my prayer to the Lord and asked him to look over me and that is what He did and I thank Him. He will look over you too!!!!!
Your day will come before you know it!! Good luck!

Kennie

When I first saw your post, I thought it said 12 days! I was like, gee, that's a long time! I don't have to do that until 2 days prior and even that seems like a feat of strength ... and then I thought, yikes, I'm going to have to do it for 30 days POST [my date is the 15th] and well, I had better get a grip on that idea!
Anyway, CONGRATS on your FEAT of STRENGTH!! Sounds like you are doing full liquids for a full week prior and that is TERRIFIC that you are doing well with it!
I am doing 1000cal low fat, low carb, high protein with meal replacement shakes or protein bars for breakfast and lunch, a snack of 7 triscuits and low fat cream cheese, and dinner of protein and a veggie. I'm doing much better than I thought I would, and like you said, I feel more energy too, though today is the first day I'm not complaining of a headache [yet].
I agree that OH has been a lifesaver.
Good luck with the rest of your 'before' and I will be thinking about you on the 14th and hoping for all good things! xosm
Hi Heather!
This is encouraging to read because I am starting my liquid diet tomorrow and my surgery isn't until Februrary 27th! TWO WEEKS of liquids! If I can handle this, I think I'll slap an "S" on my chest and start referring to myself as "SuperWoman"! Yikes!
Isn't this website awesome! What a fabulous place to find answers to questions from those who have "been there and done that"!
I'll be praying for you to have an uneventful surgery and a speedy recovery!
