Home Today

My surgery was Monday, and I just got home today. It wasn't the most fun I've ever had but not the worst either. I was dizzy and nauseated all day Tues, and couldn't figure it out until I remembered the last time I'd felt like this --right after I'd been given Dramamine for carsickness. I told the nurse and she took off the patch that they'd put behind my ear to prevent motionsickness and sure enough with in just a little while I stopped being dizzy. Only problems other than that were getting my oxygen levels up to where they wanted them, so I spent part of Monday night in the ICU, and my sugar levels stayed high unilt Weds night, which is why I spent the extra night. My doctor, nurses and techs were great.

Congratulations and welcome to the loser's side. I had my surgery on Monday too and everything went so perfect my dr said that he was tempted to send me home the next day, I was up and walking and had no pain only gas and everyone in the hospital kept saying you look so good u don't look like u have had surgery!!!! Nothing makes me sick as far as getting my liquids down and I get my protein, water, and vitamins and other meds with no problem. I hope that everything goes well and welcome home!!! Hugs, Kennie
