Nutritional Facts!! HELP!!!
Does anyone know how to figure nutritional facts out for food items? I have been using fitday.com religiously since surgery and have heard that you can input certain ingredients into recording your daily intake. However, I have not figured out how to do that.
Okay, so my specific query is that I found terrific Paula Deen flourless peanut butter cookies made with Splenda and I need to know how to input the nutritional facts into fitday.com. I looked on foodnetwork.com, which is where I found the recipe, but they are "an entertainment website only" and are not required to carry nutritional facts, unless the show is specifically designed to be a health-related show. *frustrated sigh*
Any suggestions? Please!

Don't know if this will help but I also use http://www.dietfacts.com/
as it will put the info right into your fitday profile if they have the information.

When I did FitDay I just entered each ingredient and figured out how much the whole recipe was, then divided it - or like everyone else said, find something similar.
On WW I can enter the ingredients and they break it down for me, which is how I found out that ONE slice of my cheese cake is enough calories for ONE DAY.

Oh, I know the recipe:
1 cup peanut butter
1 cup Splenda (plus roughly 1/3 cup to dip fork in)
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 egg
Mix ingredients. Preheat oven to 350. Roll dough into balls and place on a lightly greased cookie sheet. Press fork that's been dipped in Splenda in a criss-cross pattern on cookies. Place in oven and bake for 12 minutes or until just browned. (anywhere from 10 to 12 min.) Remove from oven and let cool before serving.
Amberly,
These cookies are awesome!! They taste great and they really satisfy the craving for sweets. I think they do, anyway. I've been told by others that they have really great protein, so I eat 3 for a serving. Sometimes I don't get 3, but sometimes I do. They are filling. Enjoy!!
