I think it's getting harder for all of us, our bodies are settling in to a nice winter weight and maybe comfortable here for a while. I am not giving up, I still want to lose 100%, but 80% is good, too ... If you can't figure out anything wrong you are probably doing just fine! xosm

HI everyone, I was getting very depressed about how slow my weight loss is going now. BUT last night my husband brought home the picture from our christmas party( the company has a proffesional photographer take pictures each year) and I sat it next to the picture of the blob (me) who went last year, and I sat there and cried. I doubt many people would look at the two pictures and think it was the same person. And really how can I complain about losing 126 lbs in under 10 mts. Any way my goal I had chosen was to be below 250 by my surgery date of Feb 27th. I'm currently at about 266 So I really think I can do it, if I get my BUTT in gear. I'm struggling with the carb monster too. But I can honestly say that even with all the parties with all the candy and desserts out I have not taken ONE taste. It has been a struggle, but I'm SOOO proud of myself. Cathy

WTG Cathy on not giving into the candies & desserts. I have been very bad & weak. I ate 5 pieces of dark chocolate just this week. That's why I commend you it is soooo hard not to give into temptation when its all around and what we were used to. Keep up the good work! Elisa

I am getting a little frustrated as it gets closer to my 1 year mark as I still have 42 lbs to lose to my personal goal...But I try not to get too bummed out about it because I started out at 308 and in just 10 short months have lost 116 lbs. I am currently at 192 and can't wait to get into the 180's. My doctor's goal is 177 so that is a little more realistic...that is just 15 lbs away. I am extremely happy with my loss so far and I can still reach my goal...it just might take a little longer than a year but that's okay. Good luck to everyone!

My personal goal is to get to 170 (down from 332#) before my one year surgiversary on February 22nd. Well, I am happy to report that I am very close to that goal. I weighed today and the last time I weighed was a week, week and a half ago. I weigh 183! So, only 13 more pounds to goal to my personal goal. Yeah! My surgeon's goal was 197, so I'm doing pretty well. I'm not starving myself, I'm not doing anything out of the ordinary to get to my goal. I actually don't even exercise yet, but I do start training and working out next month. My friend is going to be my personal trainer and he is going to whip my butt, I know it! I'd like to reach my persoanl exercise goal of running a 5K. I don't care what time I fini**** in, I just want to fini**** running! So, that's where I'm at. Good luck, everyone, with your personal goals!! Jen Halliday

I am approaching my 1 year mark which is Feb. 6th. and am feeling fantastic! I started out at 260 pounds and am 136 pounds today. I had my yearly physical yesterday and my doctor told me that she did not want me to lose another pound. Go figure.... who would have ever thought someone would say that to me!!!!! Having the surgery was the best thing that I have ever done for myself and my family. I try to exercise regularly and definitely watch what I eat and the amount. I know that my body tolerates sugar which scares me but I just keep saying to myself "everything looks good on the plate.... you put it in your mouth for 10 seconds... and then it goes to my butt for the next 10 years.... NO WAY!!!!! Keep up the great work! Lori
