Hi Everyone, I'm wondering if any of you out there have experienced what I currently am. I've just noticed (last week) that after I eat, I get this sensation of something stuck in my throat, almost like a piece of food wants to come up. I don't know what it could be? I have that feeling now...it's really uncomfortable. Do you guys think I may be eating too much? I try to stop when I feel full but I don't know maybe I'm not stopping soon enough? Any thoughts? TIA

I get that sometimes when I eat too much and I REALLY need to burp. Once I burp, the feeling goes away. Sometimes when I can't burp, it feels like a rock in my chest just sitting there.

Hmmm...I maybe eating a little too much. Darn and here I thought I was doing ok, not that I measure my food or anything but I guess I should. I just sorta stop when I feel full. Thanks Terri! Elisa

Hi Elisa! I always get that feeling when I eat too fast or too much...or when I don't chew my food enough before swallowing. But once I burp a time or two, then I start to feel better. I have always had this feeling ever since I started to eat solids.

I get that sensation when I eat too much or too fast, or drink too soon after I eat. My secret weapon to stop the discomfort? I chew Dentyne Fire (cinnamon) gum maid with splenda after I eat, or eat chewable papaya enzyme, the feeling passes quickly. Both of these things aid in digestion. Burping, always helps as well! How are you feeling now cutie? Better? When I eat too fast or too much-I get more of a "rock" in my chest feeling. It can feel like it's in my throat-if I am really filled to the rim..lol When I start having trouble I will start to measure my food-this may help you...my doctor NEVER said to measure-but from reading this BB I understand that it can be a great help. You can try it again for a few meals, with a cup, a half cup, or ounces..... I hope you are doing better.

You're sweet Kayla, thanks for asking. I'm doing so much better today. I didn't have that feeling all day today, which is good. I chewed my food really well for lunch & ate slower. So let see if it happens to me tomorrow? I guess I needed to slow down, you know now that we are about 10months out we can eat so much more & I almost feel like I didn't even have surgery but I did and I gotta watch myself. Elisa

I get the same feeling after 2-3 bits of food. I just have to sit and wait for it to go down before I eat anymore. I usually burp once or twice then I'm ok to eat a little more. This usually happens when I eat heavy foods. Sylvia
