question for the ladies...
OK, so i'm just going to ask! How are you when you get your wonderful period? My cycle is pretty regular. It seems to be heavier the first few days but it was always heavy. It also seems to last just as long BUT when i get it, I'M TOTALLY WIPED OUT FOR THE ENTIRE 5 DAYS THAT I'VE GOT IT! I'm exhausted! what is this all about? I'm like a zombie. I can't do anything. if i take a shower, i need a nap afterwards?
Anyone else feel this way? Is this my iron? I do not take iron pills, all of my 6 month blood work came back great. I go back to the docs on Dec.20th and I get blood drawn the week before so that we can take another look!
Let me know if anyone else feels this way or is it just me??!!?? If you do feel like this, was there anything that helped you!?!?!?
Thanks,
Mary Kate

Well before surgery I never had a regular period. After surgery my period was sorta regular only because it came every month but never on the 28 day cycle. Then I started taking Deprovera and it's been a struggle. The first 3 months on the shot I didn't see any bleeding. I never went back for the 2nd shot because I become aware of the side effects not that I didn't know of them before I received the shot. Now that I don't any birth control I am constantly bleeding but not heavy and pantiliners have become my new bestfriend.
I can almost promise you that you are having an iron deficiency during your cycle. It sounds almost identical to my situation. If nothing else, you might want to take your iron supplements the few days before and during your cycle and see if that helps. If not, talking with your doc is the best advice I can give.
Good luck to you.

I have PCOD and have never, ever had a regular period.
Since WLS I have had one every single month like clock work.
it may sound weird, but I love it, I feel like my body is working normal now and I rejoice in that.
I have a hard time with is cramps.
I've never had cramps before and they wipe me out. I also feel zapped of energy for the first few days
AND, I get so emotional a couple of days before I start, never experienced that before either. I can weep at a leaf falling LOL
