lazy weekend leads to eatting

So i did nothing this weekend but veg...and i found myslef eating ....and eating...and eating NOW obviously WWIOE....not nearly what i would of BUT i felt guilty really guilty...cause usually i am so busy and i eat when i can..BUT when i am bored i eat all the time... my dad waslike Julie you been in the kitchen alot to day seems liek old times...AGH!!!! flashback....so i freaked even when i wasnt hungary all i thought about was eating and i was craving CARBS BAD!!! and usually i am really good with that....oh well..today is another day? anyone else go through hunger sperts??? J

Um ... only like EVERY FRIGGING MONTH. About a week before my period, I feel like I'm eating everything and the kitchen sink too. I want junk and more junk. I'm in that stage right now. I even had a (gasp) cookie! There are two things I do that really help. Number one ... WATER LOAD!!!! Every time I feel like eating something bad, I drink more water. I spend so much time in the bathroom that I don't have time to be in the kitchen!!! Second, I find that if I have something salty/crunchy that it helps. There are two snacks that aren't too bad for you that feel those needs. One is pork rinds .... YUMM! A $.99 bag of them have 21g protein and only 240 calories. Not bad. The other things is I got some samples of protein chips from kaysnaturals.com. Some of them have the texture/shape of sun chips. An oz of them have 10g protein and 100 calories. They have some fun flavors. Chili Nacho Cheese is my fav! So, yes I do have eating spurts. Thank goodness it's only once a month. And, I think I've found good ways to deal with it.

I go through this every month, it sucks It alway****s me the week before my period. I try not to over do it with junk so I eat lots of fruit and drink lots of water...that slows down the eating process It sucks because during this time I feel like I'm eating and thinking of food all day. I feel like I'm back to my old pre-op days.....it sucks! I sure miss the days when I had to remind myself to eat Now it's back to reality and eating to live not living to eat. I have those days too, except I don't deal with the monthly period anymore. Hyster about three years ago. I find if I don't drink enough fluids, I get hungry. My nutritionist says it's fluids your body wants, not food. when my hands get dry and feel terrible, I know I haven't drank enough. The weird thing is when I drink my protein drink in the morning, it gets my body in gear and by the time I get to work, I want something to eat. Now that want is in my head and I have to fight it. I know if I'm not busy, that happens to me too. Not being busy has not been a problem lately, it seems like I am always doing something. Hang in there and know we all fight the same battle. It helps to have our sisters out here to talk to about it though. The rest of the world just wouldn't understand.
