I am coming out of to ask a question. I know that it has been asked many times before, but I really didn't pay close attention since I thought I wouldn't have to worry about it. What does a gallbladder attack feel like. For the past 2 days, my right side has been hurting like crazy!!!! I thought at first that I needed to get in more water. I tried that, but the pain is getting more intense. Then I thought maybe I had pulled a muscle or something, but like I said it is getting worse. I am going to call the doctor today if it continues to get worse. Any suggestions? Jenni

TRUST ME!! (had my gall bladder out pre op many years ago) You would not beable to stand it for 2 days. There where times i had to go to the hospital to get a shot of a pain killer to make it stop. The pain is dead center of your chest you might think you are having a heart attack. you cant sit up you cant lay down you just want to curl up in a fetal postion till the pain stops. it can come on with no warning and just STOP. I used to think people would think i was faking it cause it would come on fast last for many hours then stop like nothing ever happened. I was glad i got mine out but when it did come out i found it induced irritable bowl syndrom which now all i have is constipation lmao. Good luck and yea if it doesnt stop go to the dr. J

Jenni Coincidentally, I just had mine out Tuesday. Due to gallstones. Your symptoms sound like mine. Upper right side pain. Can radiate around to the back and chest. depending on the severity of the stones or disease, you can live with it for awhile. I'd definitely go to your doctor. It only takes a quick ultrasound to determine whether you have stones or not. The surgery is easy, my surgeon used two of my scars from the Gastric Bypass and also an opening in my belly button. The surgery is NOTHING like the Gastric bypass and I'm already feeling a lot better. Sore...but better. Tracey Bateman

In the beginning before my gallbladder got bad enough to seek help, I'd have pain for a day or so that would go away. It was like bad gas but moving around WOULDN'T make it better. I agree, it's an easy enough test to have done, and you don't want it to get worse. Keep us posted and feel better. xosm
