What is everyone eating now?
I thought if everyone told me what they were eating maybe we can get some ideals on something different or to help eat the right thing. Since this is my only support group I dont even know if I am eating the right types of food, although I do try to stick to protein first. My appetite is getting worse instead of better as they say it would come back around now. I dont have much of an appetite at all. So tell me what you eat in a day.
Here is what I ate today
4 oz lowfat yogurt with One scoop of protein mix added 25 grams of protein
2 slices pickle loaf lunchmeat 4grams
2 slices pickle loaf lunchmeant 4 grams
4 oz. lowfat yogurt with once scoop of protein mix added 25 grans of protein
for liquid I drink very wea**** tea all day made with equal. , I mean like a gallon of it. I am drinking all the time no problem getting liquids in. And I make it very weak. so it is not so bad.

My appetite has come back. I do get that hungry sensation but I try to drink to see if that calms it down. If it doesn't I eat something (of course 30 min after I drink). The hardest thing for me is not to snack late at night. I get soooo hungry late like around 11ish and I just feel like I have to have something and I try my best to choose things that aren't bad for me. I usually eat nuts-like sunflower seeds, veggies, or some cheese and crackers.
Anway I eat about 3 meals (sometimes only 2) and maybe 1 snack a day.
I haven't eaten anything yet so I guess I'll come back and post later what I had today.
BTW doesn't tea have caffeine? I thought tea didn't count because of that? I may be wrong but I remember reading if you drink caffeinated drinks you have to follow with water or something else. GOod to see you posting Marie, ttyl byeeee

nope I get the caffeine free kind and I also make it very weak. I mean I put two teabags in a gallon of ho****er. And add equal. never boil or brew the tea. So it is really weak.
I could still never eat. I dont have an appetite and If I am not really careful I forget to eat.

I feel like I'm eating like a pig! I get in about 1200 cal, 100 g protein, and 120 oz fluid every day.
Breakfast: EAS coffee flavored premixed protein drink 110 cal & 15 g protein & 1/2 of Atkins protein bar 80 cal & 10 g protein
Snack: 1 atkins brownie bar 220 cal & 21 g protein
Lunch: 3/4 Meximelt from Taco Bell 220 cal & 12 g protein
Snack: 1 atkins brownie bar 220 cal & 21 g protein
Dinner: dunno yet - prolly thin sliced turkey at 110 cal & 16 g protein
Snack: EAS strawberry premixed protein drink 190 cal 15 g protein
I drink at least a gallon of crystal light in addition to the liquids from the protein drinks.
Some days I eat less than this and very rarely do I eat more. I had to increase my calories/protein because I exercise so much. If I don't eat at least 1000 cal a day, I stop loosing.
I have no ideal how many calaries I am getting I am sure it is not enough. Right now I have plateaued. I asume it is cause I am not eating enough and I have noticed my blood sugar is dropping down around 60 to 80. Which I do believe is getting low. I also have noticed I seem to be getting nauseas alot. I am trying to get my protein in. but have to eat protein in yogurt two to three times a day to get that. I see the doc on the 28th so maybe he will have some suggestions. I have been forcing myself to eat but I dont want to eat. Thanks love marie
I was having problems getting in my protein. Have you tried eating beef jerky? An ounce has only 70 calories yet 14 g protein. Also, they make some really tasty protein bars. I got some Atkins Almond Brownie bars off ebay. They were around $50 including shipping for 180 bars. I eat 2 every day. Look around at some salvage stores near you. Sometimes they have protein drinks/bars really cheap. I got my EAS coffee protein drinks at Big Lots. They were 4 drinks for $2.49.

B- Atkins Shake
L- 6 inch turkey sub with extra mayo
2 oz of hard cheese
S- Home made cinnamon roll with extra icing (mmmmmm)
D- 1 meatballs and some fried egg plant
S- a few prezel rods, a couple of cups of popcorn
LS- Meatball with some ziti
LS- Low carb Ice cream
I don't know how much this wil help, I did have a differnt surgery then you, so i wouldn't recommend eating as much fat as i do in a normal day unless you've had the DS.

Here's what I ate yesterday:
B: 1/2 cup energy start cereal w/ soy milk - 18 g protein
L: salad w/ 3 oz sliced turkey breast - 16 g protein
S: babybel lowfat cheese and plum 6 g protein
D: 3 oz roasted chicken
also I had 24 oz protein shake on my way to work - 50 g protien.
I also drink at least 60 oz of water or more a day if possible.
