A little request 4 motivational purposes
Hello ladies & gentlemen...
I was wondering about those of you who have been working-out with weights, or any other form of exercise, if you have noticed a significant difference in the appearance of your arms?
If so, do you think you could post some before & current pics of them?
I know this sounds like an odd request but I have started using my 5#s weights in hopes that they might help tone or firm up my arms a bit (I can feel they are doing something because I have light soreness on my upper arm, shoulder, & a little on the lower part of the arm). I just want to know & see that using these weights will make a difference & if I can see what it's done for others it will definitely keep me MOTIVATED to continue using them daily. Also if anyone can give me any tips as to what types of exercises I should do with the light weights, things I shouldn't do while using them, just anything would be great & helpful. i know 5#s isn't a lot but they do feel like a good amount of weight...so I guess should eventually progress to heavier ones? Thanks for any input!

I don't have any pictures. I'm too grossed out by how my arms look. However, here's some information that might motivate you. 2 months ago, I measured the hanging skin on my arm. I measured from the bottom of the muscle to the bottom of the hanging skin. It was THREE inches. EWWW! I had 3" of skin hanging down. I measured it again last night. From the bottom of the muscle to the bottom of the hanging skin is now 2 1/2". I've lost a whole 1/2" of hanging skin. WOOHOO! I think it's a combination of the skin tightening up and the muscle building and taking up some slack. Imagine how much better my arms will look in a year if I can keep up working out and also add in the mix the natural process of the skin tightening up?!?!? Also, drink your water!!!! I've read that hydration is very important to skin elastisity.
Girl, let me know if you get any ideas too. I'm doing weights, resistance bands you name it. I mean my arms are getting smaller, but the hanging skin is still there. And I feel so frustrated, because I can fit into all these cool new clothes except for my ARMS. It's driving me crazy! I suppose I should be happy that my arms are smaller at all, but it's really frustrating me that some parts are so much smaller than the others.
