Hey Julie, I'm exactly 5 months today and I'm down 68#s. I've hit my first "real" plateau and have been at 247 these past two weeks. I guess it will pass...but I've decided to replace a meal with a protein shake...see if that does anything. Also, I know I've said I hate doing the light weights, but I did start this week. My batwings aren't too bad but I bet they could look better (if I keep doing the light weights). We'll see... other than I guess I can't really complain. Elisa

Hi Julie, Congratulations on a successful 5months Today is my 5month anniversary and I'm down 76lbs and I feel fantastic. I currently weight 208....I only have 9 more pounds to be in the Onederfuls I haven't seen a #1 in the front of my weight in about 8-9yrs, I can't wait! My weightloss has slowed down but I'm happy. I average about 1-2lbs a week. I able to shop in normal stores now....I wear 14-16 pants and L or M top. I'm still doing really well with foods, no dumping yet (fingers crossed) but I'm going to start drinking 1 protein shake a day. Maybe that will help with speed up my weightloss. But all in all, everything is great Sylvia

Wow-it's nice to read about how everyone is doing. I will be 5 months out in one week...wow...it is going by fast now! The month of June I lost 5-6 pounds and I wasn't happy..my weight was just going between the same five pounds...I was tracking cals, and protein, and it just wasn't happening. So, I started carb counting...man oh man-that really kick started the weight loss again! Plus, I am getting almost 100 grams of protein a day, never under 50. It just keeps you so full and gets rid of the carb cravings.

I have a little less than a wee****il I hit the 5 month mark. I am down 88 pounds and now in a size 10 from a size 18/20 (I think I even had a few 22's in my wardrobe) when I started this journey!! I eat more than I did right after surgery, but still not enough most days I think. I occasionally have an alcoholic drink but one weak one kicks my butt so I limit it! I dont exercise enough but I did start yoga twice a week and kickboxing once a week (I HATE this so it may not last)!! I sleep better, my blood pressure is low to normal now instead of being high on meds!! My periods are better (shorter and lighter), my allergies which used to be hellacious are non existent this summer (I am assuming the weight loss for some odd reason helped this), my self esteem is MUCH higher, my overall attitude towards life is just much better than it was!! I never even realized how before I trudged through each day just letting **** happen to me. Now I am hapy to face lifes challenges head on!! YAY to all of us fantastic February gals!!!!

I will be 5 months at the end of this month. I haven't lost any weight in about 1 month. It seems that once I started eating carbs my weight has steadied. I lost 60lbs very fast. I started at 244 and am hovering at 184. I've had some trouble with my head and fallen off track. In May I received an IUD and it stalled my weight loss, then I had horrible side effects. It has come out in mid June so these hormones are part of the problem. I'm IUD free now. There are no more birth control options for me. My DR said No Depo - he thinks is bad stuff. No pills, no hormones, no nothing. I might want a baby next summer so I don't want to have my tubes tied. I am loving being lighter. I think I might have lost some inches recently. I bought some size 14 dockers shorts and they seem a bit loose now. I love it, but like I said i've had trouble with my head. I'm seeing a therapist (everyone should have one) and working through these emotions. Even though I'm platueaing I plan on starting the 10 days of pleatu busters this weekend or monday. I will let you know how it goes. I'd like to lose 40-45 more lbs. Right now, my skin is nice an pink and my hair is not falling out (although the iud did casue some loss), I have energy and don't have hypertension anymore. I just wish my lower back pain would subside. Thanks for lettng me whine. Jennifer

Hi I thought this was interesting to see how everyone is doing. I am just 4 and 1/2 months out. I am down 71 pds. I started in a 26-28 and am now in 22 very loose. I am a lot more active. I walk around two miles everyday. My house is alot cleaner, but I am still thinking about going back to work. havent decided yet. I guess when i get where financially I need to I will get out there and find a job. Right now I am enjoying having energy and being able to work around the house. And I do beleive I am going to star****er aerobics in August when the nest class starts. love marie

I weighed in yesterday and I'm 5 months and 2 weeks out. I have lost 94 lbs. I really canoot believe it. I've gone from a size 30/32 to a size 22/24 (well smaller on top, but that's about right on the bottom). My doctor was pretty thrilled that I've lost almost 100 lbs in under 6 months, and said I was ahead of schedule. Elisa, regarding the plateau, I wouldn't replace the meal with a protein drink, I'd cut as many carbs as possible out (including veggies, fruit and any crackers/bread/rice) and eat more protein if possible. I hit a plateau a couple of weeks ago, and concentrating on getting my protein levels above 100 g/day, and drink as much water as possible.
