Hey everyone! Hope this finds you all well and happy. I wanted to ask everyone how the hair thing was going for everyone. I told you all before that I wasn't having hair loss. I had it happen a few times like shedding but, then I added more protein 15g per day with a BFL bar (oh yeah, my bfl bars were discontinued so I bought the last 3 cases/not boxes--that will keep me good until December) and I started taking GNC skin hair nails vitamin with biotin and zinc. After I had added the protein and pill, I quit losing my hair all together. Plus my nails have never been so long and my skin is not dry anymore. Now, I am here to ask you all. I am leaving on a trip this weekend to go see hubby (who by the way had his surgery and is recovering from his injury in Iraq) and I want to color my hair. My roots are very dark. I want to put highlights in. I have always used nice and easy but maybe I need a professional to do. I am so scared about hair loss. Has this happened to anyone else??? Please advise me. I want my hair and I will suffer with dark roots if I need to wait awhile. Hugs, Sandy

I highlighted my hair probably about 6 weeks ago... Noticed no change in anything. The best part of coloring or highlighting is that it opens the hair shaft a bit and gives you usually a bit more volume so your hair loss may be easier to hide. I am not a colorist or beautician though so I can only tell you about my results ! Good luck if you decide to go thru with the new hightlights. (Tell your husband thanks for all that he does and wish him a speedy recovery !) -Terri

Thanks for the advice. I will deep condition and cholesterol it tonight and then color/highlight it in the morning. I will send your get well wishes to my hubby. I am getting my nails done tomorrow too before I leave. My hair will stink for the flight but, I want it to look good. Hugs, Sandy

I'm late coming in on this [I haven't had hair loss and I continue to use my Sun-In once every couple of months or so] ... but I hope it went well with your visit and that your hubby is feeling much better! xosm
