4 months post op TODAY!!!
Hi!
I havent been around much lately since we just moved to TN from MA!! I am feeling well and the oppressive heat down here isnt torturing me like it did when we lived here 7 years ago!! I am actually warm/comfortable for pretty much the first time since surgery!!! I am always cold so the 100 degree temps feel awesome!!!
I am eating pretty much anything but beef, and of course no sugar. I just always seem to get a belly ache when I try to eat beef. I still dont eat like a normal person, but I now can eat better than I could 2 months ago! Progress is good right?
I am having WICKED hair loss and it worries me. I pray it slows down soon. I was also suffering from horrible constipation but found these fiber wafers that are sugar free and they seem to be helping. Fiber choice is the name of them I think. I chew 2 a night before bed and they help tremendously. I might try going to every other day though cause gas seems to be the trade off for not suffering witht he constipation! Sheesh the things we share on here huh???
I am down 80 pounds and am wearing a 10 or a 12 in clothes. It is so much fun to go shopping now!!! I am still very cautious about buying only a few things cause I know I will soon shrink out of my current wardrobe!! I rty on an awful lot but only buy once i awhile!!! Onederland is a BEAUTIFUL thing!!!
I got brave and updated my profile with my pre op and current pics. I would never ever have thought I would show anyone my pre op pic but it really does show my progress!!
I hope y'all are doing well and staying healthy!!
Hi Michelle, girl WOOO WOO...you look fantastic!! WTG -80#s .
I know what you mean about the hair. I am so sad/depressed about that. I don't even want to style, wash, or brush my hair because everytime I do I lose bunches! I can even see the areas that are balding when my hair is wet...it freaks me out! I got a few suggestions but I don't think they are guaranteed to work.
Anyway, I need to get brave enough to share my other pre-op & now pics...but I'm too chicken to do it now. Yours are great-they do show the awesome progress you've made.
Elisa
Thanks ladies!!
Elisa, I too am afraid to do anything with my hair! I wa**** like every third day now and the rest of the time it is in either a braid, pony tail, or a bun. Hubby came to visit me in the shower the other day and he saw all the hair stuck to the wall in the shower!! He was FLIPPIN' out!! I sure do pray it stops or at least slows down soon!!
I take 2 biotin lozenges every day but I have yet to see a slow down. I know since we have been in this whole moving process that my protein has been less than what it was. I am trying oh so hard to keep that protein intake up to help combat the hair loss!
I was so scared to share my preop pics! I am still so ashamed that I let myself look that awful!! I am also shocked that I never realized just how fat I really was. I knew I could share them here and feel nothing but love!!!!!!!!!!
