I got the biggest ole' red blister on my big toe from my workouts last week - totally not the worst thing that could happen, but I'm hatin' it right now.
I still plan on my 3x a week for 30 minutes, but already I'm feeling like the 30 minute work out isn't challenging me as much. It takes longer to get my heart rate up [that's GOOD, means my heart is getting stronger, but BAD cause I'm not ready for the gym yet, I was hoping my Gazelle would last me the summer], and it doesn't go up as high at my top speed. I'm also finding it easier to go faster, but limited by the machine too. Gosh, I do miss my treadmill.
I don't want to get all crazy changing my goal mid-month though, you know, 28 days to a habit and all that good stuff. Plus I don't want to burn myself out. I'm excited to be doing so well. I like being 'accountable' too, I don't want to let myself down, and writing it here, I dunno, makes me push harder to 'prove' I can do it. This week starts baseball, and lots of weeks there's 3 games or more, so I will have to see how that plays into my schedule, and not let it throw me off.
[In case anyone is wondering, and I HAVE to say it, I HATE baseball - but hubby is a fan - the season tix pre-date our marriage;) - and the minor league stadium here in Brooklyn is on the beach and is a fun time DESPITE the boring sport {I am a tried and true couch screaming hockey fan thru and thru}. So I go to the baseball games with hubby and DD for the family time ... ya know, just in case anyone is wondering I am ABSOLUTLEY NOT a baseball nut or fan of any kind. Can you tell I don't want to be mistaken for that? {not that there's anything wrong with it;) LOLOL}]
I think if I can remember I will put on my pedometer tomorrow, even though I won't be doing much but cleaning [have to get my daughter's wardrobe changed over], at least I can see SOMETHING. xosm
Ok I paid more attention to my water yesterday and exercised when I got home from work. My hubby sat on the couch and watched me...that's a little disconcerning but at least he knows I am doing it? He helps me do the weight bench correctly. He's into weight lifting. He works out too...he was just tired yesterday from doing a brake job on my van. So he watched me work out. Nothing like good support huh?
Alright...well since I made up my little water intake tracker I have noticed that on the days I have to go out and run errands it is very difficult for me to drink, drink.
Yesterday I drank 60oz...only 4 oz shy of my goal. Oh yeah, I'm not counting the popsicles or soups...just the bottles of flavored water that are consumed...so I may have reached my goal.
However today, I started off slow...and I still need to have 34 oz to reach goal. Will I make it? I'll let you know tomorrow.
