Hey there, Marie.....what colors are you using for your wedding? I have a bridal boquet that I carried in my best friend's wedding. It is lavender with cream. I made them all. They are lavedar victorian roses with hibiscus.
Do you have a kid to carry the rigs for you? If not, your best man can, but if there are any little kids around, it would be fun for them.
Do you have a garter? The groom usually throws that to the guys.....
what is that old saying???....something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue.....
refreshment table only is fine for tablecloth.
Your wedding sounds like mine....simple, and out doors when it is hotter than hades! We were kids, and had zero money!
I didn't like the look of a tux, so my hubby wore a black suite with a Mickey Mouse tie! lol
My friend's wedding, on the other hand was phenominal! They spent over $20,000! I told her they should have saved the $ and used it towards buying a house!
anyhow......I look forward to seeing your dress!
Let me know if i can help with anything!
Sandra
Thanks for reminding me of the garder. I had forgotten about that. We are not planning for a flower girl but if one of the grandkids wants to do it. We will let them hold the rings. It is going to be plain and simple. I cant afford a large expensive wedding. And if I had 20,000 to spend it would be on a new home or car or trip. thanks love marie
You are welcome! yeah me too! I would rather go on a nice trip, or get a house. They did go on a nice trip though......they went on a cruise, and she got pregnant on the third night, and after 2 weeks, she spent the rest of her pregnancy being deathly ill ! She had such a hard time, but little Tavis is a dream baby, so it was well worth it!
Mine was simple too. We had it at a park, and we played Kenny G, and then we had a mariachi band(my mother-n-law's doing), and we just made LOOONG sub sandwiches, and cut them into pieces, and had a wedding cake, and drinks and stuff, and that was it! But you know what??? we are married! Have been for 12 years, and we are happy, so how we got there doesn't matter!
We are going to renew our vows though. i have always wanted to. i didn't know how to plan a wedding back then...lol. I do now.
hugs,
sandra
I am not sure how to explain it.....it is like a bunch of little flowers. it isn't just a single bud. They are so beautiful.
If it sounds like something you would want to use, for you to carry, I would be more than happy to send it to you, if you have time. I am not sure of the date. ??
If you would like it, just email me and give me your addy, or your phone number, and I can mail it to you, or call you and get the info. I have free long distance.
It is going to be a wonderful day for you! Don't stress out, just be excited!
hugs,
sandra
Hi Marie WOW you got all those things at the beginning of your list ready? That's great. How about the food for the guest? I would suggest some type of buffet. I wish I had done that for my wedding reception. It would have saved us a lot of trouble. My DH and I planned our own wedding & reception to the best of our ability and it wasn't too shabby - it was nice because it was our own creation . The only thing I have always regretted was my wedding dress. I picked it out at the last minute and when it was set and done I didn't like it that much. OH well, maybe my hubby & I can re-marry and I can pick a kick a$$ dress for the occasion. Good luck to you on the planning and stuff--I know it's hard work!

I really wanted to wait until I was skinnier for the wedding dress thing. But Bob dont. So I dont consider it running to the alter when it took him five years to make up his mind. This is going to be my own creation to. well with the help of all the suggestions of friends. And my aunt called today and said she would do the food. Thank God for that. Out of my hands. She is a social butterfly with grace of age. She does almost all the reunions and such in my familly. love marie
