Plastics ?
Hey all ! I have been thinkin about all the things that this surgery has changed in my life. My outlook, my health, my lifestyle, etc... Heck my sagging boobs too ! Have any of you given any real thought to having plastic surgery after you reach whatever goal you have set for yourself ? I was looking today at one of the sites on OH and I was amazed by the results but to soooo totally honest scared by the idea of it all. So I guess that what I am curious about is what you all think about it.
Have you even thought about it ?
Would you do it ?
When do you think that you would start to look into the whole process ?
What are you thinking you may want done ?
Will your insurance cover any of it ?
Plus anything else you wanna share about the topic...
Have a great afternoon all ! -Terri
HI Terri!
I'll admit I'm totally fascinated with my loose skin thus far. I find myself playing with the skin near my elbow. My husband thinks I'm so weird. I think I'm going to wait until I finish loosing, then give it another 6 months. I'll evaluate the skin then and decide.
I'm surprised my boobs ain't sagging yet. Of course, I had so little to start off with and that could be the reason. I was wearing a 42C and now I'm 38C. My husband even says the girls look perkier. I am weight training so maybe the muscles in my chest are pulling them up. I dunno. So anyway, I have a year or more before I even start thinking about it.
Hey Terri I have thought about plastics but like you the idea scares me!
Have you even thought about it ? Yup
Would you do it ? If I absolutely couldn't live with the excess skin (especially that thing they call the apron, I dunno if I'll get one of those ) or if I get rashes of some sort.
When do you think that you would start to look into the whole process ? Probably after I have kids...I'm still planning on that and since I can't get pregnant until 18 months plus figure the 9 months, oh and then a few months of recovery after that...geesh maybe in a few years.
What are you thinking you may want done ? Boobs for sure. Maybe the tummy area but that surgery scares me the most
Will your insurance cover any of it ? I hear that if it's cosmetic purposes-NO but if it's medically necessary most insurances cover it. I've also read that people document any rashes they develop due to the excess skin (by taking pics) and send them to their insurace company.

Heck yeah I am doing the plastic surgery thing, I am getting a tummy tuck and a breast lift with implants, my tummy is a bit saggy from having four kids, they are 9,7,5, and 1, so I got to get rid of that sag, ick! and as for the boobs, I have gone from a 46C to a 42C but they tend to point south, ick, again! I cant wait but I also know alot of people personally that have had it done where my insurance is approved and they all lived so I am not really afraid. My insurance will cover the tummy tuck but not the boob thing so I intend to pay for that myself. I have already looked into the process I just have to wait til my weight has been the same for 6 months straight before they will do it. They say you can usually get it done at a year out. I cant wait!

I really hope I will be able to get some things done, eventually. I would love my tummy and thighs done, although i hear its painful, not to mention expensive. Its funny that you bring this up today. I just got home from bra shopping and i feel like . Nothing at all seems to fit right... Growing up I had HUGE boobs so at 16 I had a reduction. Even with all the weight I gained and kids I never went up in size again BUT now, OMG they are gross. I think I went down a size so now I have deflated small boobs, sorry if TMI. I just said to hubby that I will probably be the first person to have had a reduction that they loved up until losing weight and end up getting implants years later!! But if I had to choose between being 61lbs bigger then I am now or saggy boobs, I will pick saggy boobs 10 out of 10 times, lol. Thats my rant of the day!!

I can't believe you all are thinking of more surgery already and I'm still nursing the wound from the one we just had! LOL. I did think about it BEFORE surgery but right now I feel like I'd never have surgery again if I can avoid it, and that includes the child I wanted to think about in a year or so. Right now I'm ANTI surgical besides the fact that I still can't imagine I will lose enough weight for it to be a factor. Gee, aren't I a breath of sunshine tonight! Sorry, I really can't wrap my mind around any more self inflicted pain! xosm
