Hey Elisa, that MOM is like drinkng gasoline....just nasty. I had a problem for a couple of days myself and I talked to my nutritionist and she suggested a product called colace. It's a stool softener. So I looked at Walmart and that brand was like $15 but I compared the ingredients with the Walmart brand $3 and something...same thing. So I bought their brand. I'll just keep it on hand cause she wants me to be taking iron and I know what that does to me. Just keep up the fluids...get way too much water into your system and take care of your tender area.

Oh my goodness...yes-that MoM is the grossest thing I had ever tasted. I drank it like a shot and it was too late to spit it out by the time I noticed how disgusting it tasted. From now on I am taking the stool softener in pill form...I dunno about the suppository form? Thanks so much for your help & advice. Elisa

I HATE MoM! Whenever I have a potty problem, I use a suppository. Not only does it help you go, but it lubricates the area so what comes out slides out easier. I gave myself some MAJOR hemmoroids and has bleeding from them before my surgeon suggested the suppositories. He told me if I ever go more than 3 days without a BM, just use a suppository. He told me I needed to start injesting more fiber. Since I can barely get my protein in at this point, he suggested chewable or capsule form. Metamucil makes a really nice capsule form. I take 3 eat morning with a large glass of water. It really helps. Terri 287/269/211/150 consult/day of surgery/current/goal

Hi Terri...I wish I would of known how you felt about MoM before I went and tried it for myself . Do those hemmoroids go away? Do you know if once you start bleeding, like I have, is that a sign I have hemmoroids? I would hate to have that problem. Thank you Terri for your help. Hope you had a nice weekend. Elisa

Julie, you're funny. Yup, looks like there are a bunch of us suffering with constipation and sometimes the "runs" from trying to correct the other problem. So this must be a side effect of gbs? Hope you are having a good weekend! Elisa
