Topic: Cant get out of the 180's
The beginning of November I had got down to 177 lbs and then I got ****y. I did not stay there for long and by Thanksgiving I was up to 189 lbs. I quickly got back down to 182 but have been going back and forth ever since between 182 and 186, but now currently at 188.6. I just dont know what to do anymore. I typically drink two protien shakes per day and I eat pretty much what I am supposed to. I know I can not eat rice and pasta, they are my enemy. Some folks say that I dont eat enough, there fore my body is in starvation mode. I just dont know how I could eat more. Maybe I need to go back to eating chicken all the time like I used to. I do not push sugar or fats, cause I dump. I just wish I could get this going again. I did start doing Hip Hop Abs last night and all though I am not coordinated to get all his moves in there, I am moving. Something I have been lacking is exercise, I sure hope this will help. Anyone else having issues with reaching goal.
I do have another TT consult on April 3rd, only cause I have to go thru his private practice for insurance. Surgery should be in June but I sure would like to at least get down into the 160's before than. They said surgery could be in June.
Thanks,
Sherry

Oh by the way, got a denial for my thigh lift. So I guess they made up my mind for me...though I think the dr's office already put in a appeal. My denial letter said it was in refernce to my tummy tuck...duh they are a little late, like 8 months. Gor two letters for the same denial...go figure.

Hi, Dana! Wow you look great! I still come around and read posts, but I rarely actually post myself. I can not figure out the new profiles! I switched mine, so it is now all messed up!
I just wanted to say how good you look. I sooo agree about life being so much better! I am so healthy now. Still staying about 150-155, size 8 bottoms, 10 tops.
I am getting married! Can you believe it! I live on a 100 acres farm with horses,, cows, chickens.......I am so active and happy.
I really need to change my picture, but can't get that to work. Sigh.........I need to take the time to figure it all out. Here is a link about my wedding, there are pictures there so you can see how I look now.

Topic: 2 Years Today!
February 21, 2007 ~~ On 2/21/05, I was so anxious to begin my journey and for once in my life to have the opportunity to live. These past 2 years have been amazing. My health is 1000% better, I feel great and I am enjoying my life.
I am still dealing with body issues but hopefully soon I'll be over that hump too. I have had several plastic surgery consults and I'm ready to start the process, more money spent but I'm worth it darn it, if I say so myself I deserve it J. I told Blane the other day, he'll be able to call me the $50,000 woman, rofl. I'm ready to begin the next chapter, now I wait for a surgery date.
WLS has been a blessing to me and I thank God for giving me the opportunity to have surgery, a great surgeon to help me and my family and friends for the support and encouragement they've given me. This journey hasn't been easy, it takes lots of work and can be quiet emotional but it is definitely worth it. A ride I'll be on forever; with challenges to be faced, but I'm here and ready to continue the fight.
To all of you on the OH boards, thank you for the support, encouragement and friendships. There is no one in the world that understands us, like another person that has struggled with obesity. I've had great support from my husband, boys, family and friends, but they don't always get it. I've ended some friendship relationships since surgery, something I wasn't really prepared for. It has made me a stronger person though, made me realize that relationships come and go but true friends are around forever.
I know one thing, life is great, ain't no stopping me now!
I'm adding some pictures we took yesterday, I think it's finally sinking in that I'm a normal size.

Topic: RE: Arthritis issues
Hi Jim,
I can't answer about the connection between WLS and arthritis. I have several arthritis related issues which I had pre op. I have fibromyalgia, osteoarthritis and ankylosing spondylitis. I have to say that the pain has greatly improved since the surgery but the on going issue is the iritis which is related to AS. I have seen the leading Uveitis specialist in Toronto and he said he is unaware of any connection. Now that doesn't mean there isn't. I think it has something to do with the malabsorption factors and in particular Vit A. The Dr's have put me on a low dose steriod in an effort to control the inflammation. Of course this in time can cause glaucoma, cataracts and a host of other eye problems.
Good luck with getting the pain under control.
