boy do i feel your pain, bb. since wls a year ago i feel like i've encountered more physical ailments than any one person should have. and am really also sick and tired of being sick and tired. but they've checked all my blood work. all levels are fine. i'm trying, really hard, to just focus on getting through one issue at a time, knowing that without the surgery i probably wouldn't be around to deal with the issues. but it does get tough. and i also feel pathetic at times. hope you get some answers soon, girl. there's only so much one person can take, isn't there? hugs dorthe

Lorraine, this is my opinion, I'm not a professional but what I would do is get away from so many carbs, it looks like overall good choices but still heavy on the carb intake for me anyway. I have tried my best while losing to stay under 30 carbs a day, basically eating lean meats and green leafy vegetables with an occasional low carb yogurt, low fat cottage cheese, cheese stick, etc. I also kept my calorie intake below 850 until just a few weeks ago, now I average almost 1000 calories a day to maintain. Hope this helps, it may take tricking the body some to get the loss started again. Lots of liquids will keep you full also. Dana

I just added pictures at the bottom of the last entry of me and my husband. The first one was before my surgery last February, the next was in August, and the last was taken this past weekend. Remember, both of us had WLS, myself the RNY, Blane had the lapband....tell me what you think? I'm amazed when I look at them. Hugs, Dana

This is typically what I eat during a day. granola w/low fat milk for breakfast small yogurt low fat for morning snack lunch and dinner are pretty much the same thing...either chili, stuffed pepper (no rice), lasagna (no noodles), or quiche. Probably most of this is around 6 ozs. night snacking would be some wheat pretzels and maybe a little bit of sugar free low fat ice cream. I do have pieces of sugar fee candy sometimes. for drinks (I hate water) so I drink coffee, OJ, some flavored water, and flat diet soda. My friend thinks I don't eat enough.

Bee, I can totally relate to not feeling well. I to have experienced lots of fatigue post-op, I feel I had more energy before surgery. I recently added additional vitamins to my daily regimine and I'm doing better but I don't have the energy many talk about. Here is the link to the Yahoo grad board. Lots of ladies there are further out and have dealt with fatigue, low iron, low B vitamins, depression, etc. I have gained some wonderful information there...as they are people that are dealing with health issues that many doctors don't know about. You might want to post there and see if someone can give you insight. http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Graduate-OSSG/ I can forward you a list of vitamins they recommend. Also, Michelle Curren "Vitalady" will email you personally with suggestions and such, go to her website www.vitalady.com, she is very knowledgable and helpful. Hope you feel better soon. Dana
