Topic: RE: How much food at one time?
for lunch i usually eat 2/3 c. cottage cheese w/a jello snack pack mixed in and string cheese. when i make dinner i eat about 3 oz. of chicken or ground turkey w/about 1/4 c. of a veggie and a pudding snack pack. and i'm getting in about 1000 calories a day now and so far i'm maintaining. i go up and down the same 2-3 pounds (which keeps me in the range of my goal and the doctor's goal)

You're at 130 right? How tall are you? I'm 5'5 1/2 and my Dr's goal for me was 160. I wanted to get to 145 (that's what I was when I got married) I have pretty much played with the same 5 pounds since about Thanksgiving also. I lift weights 4 times a week and eat pretty much any thing I want. I don't dump and am very bad about munchies especially when stressed. I try to stick to protein for munchies but it doesn't always work out I have a sweet tooth. I'm at 149-154 and pretty much can't stick to it on trying to get the last 5 pounds off. Stress is too much at work and money problems etc. I'm just grateful I have this tool so I haven't gained any. My Dr says I should be getting about 1200 calories a day but I have no idea how much I get. It's probably around that because of all the junk food. Pretty much from what I've learned from others that when you are this close to goal it is much harder to lose and you have to do a good old fashioned diet like watching your carbs and getting in your water and protein and exercising. If you don't get anywhere do more of the same. Also make sure you get in your vitamins so your body is operating at maximum effeciency and is able to keep up with your efforts to lose more weight. Good luck.

Hello everyone! Today is my one year anniversary. I weighed myself today and I now weigh 137 pounds! I have lost a total of 134 pounds. This is amazing! I (finally) put an updated picture of me up on my profile. Please go check it out. Sorry about the quality though...my camera is not working and I took this pic with my daughter's webcam.
Well, congratulations to all of us Febbers! I think you guys are a great bunch of people, and I am proud of not only myself, but all of you too!

Hello Bee---I'm so sorry that you are have all these problems---I wish you the best. If it makes any difference-----I too have been really really tired since my surgery--there seems to be no explanation for it, either. I had my 1 year post of visit with lab work this morning, so I don't have the results of it yet---I hate the idea that something would be wrong but if it were then at least I'd know why I have this tiredness.(sounds crazy, I know) My doc. thinks that I do too much and without realizing it because it's so much easier moving around now than before the surgery. (I'm 52 years old)..I guess that could be possible. I sure hope you get your problems resolved soon so you can feel better.....
Hugs Wanda

Way to go Joe!!! I'm so glad you are healthier than a year ago. Don't be so hard on yourself about the work trigger, in time that too will change, you didn't get healthy over night so as you work on your trigger it too will seem less important when you look back at it. This is the coolest life style change I've ever made, I have to agree with you it has been worth it. deb k
