Brandy congratulations on your journey and the 6 lbs. now showing up on the scale. I was out of town so I'm just catching up on the message boards but I to have experienced a couple of stalls and like you the next week I'll lose around 5-6 lbs. I know sometimes it makes us crazy but do remember that our bodies have to catch up to all of the wonderful things happening to us since surgery. It doesn't know what the heck is going on. You are doing great, keep on . Dana Lap RNY 2-21-05 260/239/186/130???

Thanks everyone for the encourgement! I am happy to say the scale moved 6lbs over the weekend!! I was so excited! Dorthe- as for protein...well I eat chicken, fish, and cheese all the dang time! Now this weekend I had a bad weekend and hardly ate anything, but like today I have yogart, some cheese for a snack, tuna salad on toast for lunch, more cheese for a snack, chicken and brocolli w/cheese for dinner, and milk for a light snack before I go to bed. Some days I can eat it all, and others one bite and I don't want anything to do with my food. I just make sure to track everything on fitday.com. It really helps!!! Well thanks again guys!! I so appreciate everyone!!! Brandy

Dear Dorthe, I have gone for my 3 mo. and my dr. didn't say anything about changing my habits, because he said from the very beginning that I was only to eat 3 meals a day and no snacking. I am only allowed protein shakes between meals. Its been very hard not to snack. I don't always make it through the day without snacking, but I try and stick to popcorn, fruit, or a sf popcicle. Good Luck, Mary M.

Dear Dorothe, I read on here from someone else when I was first starting solids that the idea was to eat enough to fill the pouch and cause it to expand and hit the "Vagus Nerve" I started eating more at one sitting, going very slowly, pausing, and chewing until food was nearly liquid, which keeps me from overdoing it and being in pain. This has worked well for me. I've just this week had my first fill at three-and-a-half months out. It was hard to learn that I didn't need to eat all the time. In the evening, when I have the most habit of eating, I have SF popcicles @ 15 cals apiece. Otherwise I try to stick to meals. I'm too tight in the morning, which means I start at about two pm with my first meal. Just coffee, milk and protien powder before then. Then another little meal about 7 or 8 PM, and maybe a little snack, like SF pudding or 1/2 avocado later in the evening. My other big help is Fitday.com. Sometimes it is so important to have an objective measure of what you're doing. Hope this helps Aiya 365/258/165 (309 at surgery)
