Topic: RE: Another plateau
I have been stuck at 80 pounds for a little while now. I've have recently upped my exercise to 5 miles a day though and I probably need to up my calorie intake. I've read on here many times that if you don't eat enough calories your body will go into starvation mode. Do you exercise regularly? How many calories, protein, and water do you take in daily? Do you keep a food log? I've been doing that the whole time and it really helps me out.
Topic: Another plateau
Hi Everyone,
I know it's probably not a real plateau (at least I hope not) but I am stuck again! I have not lost any weight in 2 weeks.. I lost 60 lbs. at 3 mo. but haven't lost anything since. Is anyone else stuck at this stage? I just keep doing the program and I know it will eventually kick in, just wondering if anyone else is on the same page?
Thanks,
Mary M.

Wow Irene,
121 pounds in three months - you are doing great. Just remember that now is the time we need to retrain ourselves in better eating habbits. I too, can eat starches and they still taste so good to me. So each meal I make sure they are in their proper order, after protein and good starches. I sometimes don't eat them, or I might have a bite. I am still having a problem with meat so I have to rely on getting most of my protein from my shakes. I am in love with the whey protein fuzzy navel. No carbs, no sugars, no fat and only 90 cal. for 23 grams of protein. It has been a life savor.
Good luck,
Mary M.
Topic: RE: CALLING EVERYONE WEIGH IN TIME
I am three months out and I have lost 60.5 pounds! I am impatient - I want to lose it faster. I do need to exercise more, but doing fine with my protein. I have not had any problems in eating at all, and have never dumped. I am careful, though, and dont pu**** I do eat a variety of foods. Congrats to everybody! We are all a bunch of losers! Carol L.
Topic: RE: insurance question dr. Frantzides patients
Todd, I'm also insured with Blue Cross/Blue Shield PPO, they sent me a bill for over $19,000.00 and they only paid about 1,300.00. I sent the bill to my doctor and he is appealing it. So I'm in limbo also, if I knew that I would have to pay that type of money, I NEVER would have been able to afford the surgery...Wishing you well on you insurance battle.

Not me, I gain 1-2 lbs every month during my cycle. I hope it keeps happening for you.
Topic: Question for the LADIES....
Hi Ladies,
During my monthly I am noticing that I loose 5-7lbs. Is anyone else this lucky? I think its crazy to be able to loose weight during that time of the month...but it has happened for the last 2 mos. I am NOT complaining- just wondering if this happens to anyone else?
Pre-OP 304
Now 241.5 lbs
Topic: insurance question dr. Frantzides patients
just need to know if anybody else has had any problem getting your insurance company to reimburse you for the money paid upfront to Dr. Frantzides? I have bc/bs and they only paid $1100.00 and his total bill is $12635.00 and I paid $6500.00 up front I'm trying to fight them but would like some input on what past patients have had to deal with thanks Todd p.s. only 4 pounds to go till 100 -- Todd Henry
