Stop that! Seriously you are gonna make me blush ;)
You aren't looking that bad yourself! I think that as Feb postops we are beginning to see this change - well before I knew I felt lighter, and I had dropped some sizes of course, but I really wasn't feeling all that much different, nor was I seeing it in my mirror, but I am starting to notice now Keep up the good work too, Helen!

I like your strategy, dorthe, about not weighing yourself but I think I am addicted to my scale now like I was addicted to chocolate before the surgery lol. I too cannot stand protein shakes. I basically have given up on them completely and try to get my protein in my foods. Infact, I think I have a new favorite! I got a Taco Bell salad bowl yesterday and only ate the insides (not the shell). I wasn't able to eat all of it, but man was that yummy! I have to go out again today for a routine doc appt. and I think I am going to snag me another one ;)

Maria,
I understand how you feel. I've lost only 51 lbs since Feb 3rd. It is so frustrating and my family is not supportive at all. I am also having a very hard time with this. There are days when I just want to stay in bed and cry. If you ever need someone to commiserate with, feel free to email me.

Trust me I just want to cry sometimes, when I weight myself once a week. It seem that I'm stuck at 50 pounds down and it's doesn't want to move! Then when it does move it wants to go up and not down!
I'm totall stress over this too. I should have been more then just 50 pounds down already. Plus living with my family doesn't make life any easier. I'm just having a very hard time with all of the this BS.

Topic: RE: 3 Months out and 121 down!
I found I was trying to eat meat with to low of Fat content my Nutritionist told me not to go under 80/20 fat content or it will be to dry for us. She said we may not eat much but we should eat good and to low of fat can be as bad as to high. Shannon my wife found a couple of great cook books for WLS patient that have helped a lot. I have I can eat anything in small amounts so I eat the protein first good veggies second and then a small amount of starchy veggies.

john's right. the scale will drive you over the edge if you let it. i've thought i lost, only to find out the dr's scale was different. thought i'd gained - then got my period, so it was water weight. thought i'd plateaued, but found out you have to be stuck for a month without loss of weight or inches. so i kind of decided, just do the best i can, then i don't need to worry cause i know i'm doing the best i can.
take care, girl. this, too, will pass.
hugs
