Hi, Meta. I've been doing the same thing for about a week. I'm dripping sweat right now from my forehead. An hour ago, I was wrapped up in 2 pairs of jammies and a quilt. It's almost like menopause, but I went through that surgically almost 10 years ago. Hmmm... I wonder if it's hormones after all. They say fat hangs onto estrogen. Jeanie DS 02/12/05 -64 lubs

Topic: Temperature changes
Hi all, I just read all the posts about body temps lowering and people freezing, and I was wondering if any of you are experiencing what I am. I'm going to opposite extremes almost constantly. One minute I'm freezing and have to sit with a blanket or put on a flannel shirt, then when I just get warmed up, it only lasts a little while and then I go to the opposite extreme and start sweating. I'm burning up so much that I have to fan myself, stand in the open door, etc. It's so drastic I rarely feel totally comfortable for any length of time. At first I thought they were my hot flashes coming back, but this is way different. These episodes seem to start in my chest, then go up to my throat and down to my stomach at the same time. I get a dry mouth instantaneously and if I don't take a swallow of water, I feel like I'm dying. This "heat" is generated from inside my body. It's almost like I don't have any internal themomenter anymore. I'm almost four months post op and have lost approximately 76 pounds. Just passed that three month plateau of no weight loss for several weeks. Anyone got any ideas about these temperature extremes? Anyone else experiencing this too? Thanks for answering, Meta

I always think I am eating to much too. On a typical work day I will have B - Low Carb Yogurt w/ small handful of Special K cereal mixed in for crunch. S - 1/2 cup cottage cheese L - 2 - 3 ounces of meat & cheese S - cheese stick D - Depends.... I love a good salad! (Never thought those words would come out of my mouth.) S- Popcorn.... I KNOW I KNOW... but it has helped me stay regular. I am down about 64 - 66 pounds. Started at 310 and scales today says 244. Jami

Maybe it is because you are eating more calories and jumpstarting your metabolism during your TOM. JMHO Pam 247-196-135-125

I had my surgery on feb 28th, my starting weight was 247. i have lost 51 lbs sp far. I thought this was slow but my surgeon was thrilled at my 3 month visit. He said that he thought i would lose 90lbs in the first year and that i lost 50 in the first 3 months. WHEN DID ANY OF US DO THIS BEFORE WLS????? Hang in there Maria De (youre from my hometown SOP) I grew up there. Pam 247-196-135-125

Hi Brigitte! Yes! I notice that I loose during that week as well. And it's been these past two months that's it happened that way. I'm not sure why it happens this way. Especially since that's the time when I'm having my worst cravings & so forth. This past month it was 10lbs, and the time before that it was 14lbs. Weird, huh? Well I just thought I would share that it happens to me as well. Cassandra 289/240/??
