Topic: RE: how much food!
hi loretta: i had to answer your reply. you mentioned being down because you've 'only' lost 62 lbs. but in four months? that's only slightly less than 4 lbs a week. that's alot!!!
if you look back to before surgery and consider your life then - you'll realize just how far you've come. be kinder to yourself. if you're not trying your best, resolve to do better. but if you're doing your best, what more can you expect?
it will come. just remember your rules and your limits.
take it easy

Katie, You have lost so much. I wish I could say the same. I've only lost 62 pounds. Please tell me what you are eating. My doctor only told me to follow the South Beach diet approach. I'm kinda depressed that I haven't lost more. Please, any help would be wonderful.

I love profiles with lots of photos - your side by side comparisons are really an eye-opener. And I love Enya so that was also a plus

Topic: RE: Vacation Stories Anyone?
hi diana: lucky you. two vacations in less than a month!. i usually just refill water bottles, even at home, so i don't have to worry about paying for the water. i think we all have a tendency to splurge on vacation, but knowing it ahead of time, and planning for it might help a little. try carrying some snacks you know you're good with. peanuts (protein), cheese sticks (protein & dairy), protein bars, whatever you like that travels well. that way you don't fall victim to the hungries.
have a great time on vacation. you've worked for it all year, after all.
take care

Topic: RE: New Pics...How is everyone?
you're right, janice. i rarely see new postings here, most often i go to the MN site first, anyway. but i check in here occasionally, too. seems the further away we get from surgery the less we post here, huh?

I just skimmed through your profile, girl. you're doing so well but you seem so very hard on yourself. hopefully you're enjoying the heck out of your new self, heaven knows you've earned it.
thanks for sharing.

Topic: RE: Help!!!
Sharon,
Don't stress it. I plateaued for nearly 3.5 weeks! It's frustrating. Just think though, it will eventually come off...PLUS SOME! I was stuck at 180 lbs forever, but that seems to be the weight that my body is comfortable at.
Before I knew it, I dropped 10 lbs in just under 11 days! That's after losing nothing for 3.5 weeks. It will surprise you when it happens.
Just get off the scale.

Topic: RE: hair loss????
I recently cut a foot off my hair and had it layered because it was definitely starting to fall out and feel thinner...now i LOVE it!! My hair looks incredible!!!!! I have gotten lots of compliments...if you go to my profile and scroll to my latest post, those are new pics that were just taken Sunday and you can see the layers in my hair. I do hope that I stop shedding soon though...hair doesn't really go with my new clothes

I have always had super thick hair and still do. Ive got enough hair to to make someone a wig and still have plenty left on my head lol! (funny both my girls where born bald though..... hmmmm)
I'd share if I could! All this hair gets HOT even when its pulled up!
I was looking forward to some hair loss, but it hasnt happened. If anything my hair has gotten THICKER! Maybe its all the protein and vitamins.
